Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people beleive that theatres and cinemas are no longer of interest as people can watch all the entertainment they want on digital resources availabe these days while others have the prospective that this cuture should not be changed as a traditon and buisness we wil discuss both views and at last i wil give my prospective.
In this modern era when everything is changing into new advanced shape, places where peoples go to see film and stage shows are now changed into television and internet where every person has the flexilibility to see whatever he wants to see and has the independence of time. This is main thing that nobody has time restriction to see films, seasons and recorded shows online, diverting people from cinemas and theatres. In some cases, some peope do not like too much rush so its very beneficial them to use internet as solo viewer.
In contrast to this, cinema and theatures have also their advantages, these places provide a proper entartainment sense as a lot of people come to see a movie or a show looks like everybody has a same taste and creates an air of enjoyment. Along with that it provides employment to a lot of people and actors and is proper buisness help people economically.
From my prospective, theatues and cinemas are still beneficial as these are also a part of tradition and provides a real meaning of enoyment, not like internet which i think gives you a fake smile sitting alone. For instance whenever i have to go in cinema i go with my friends and we all have a lot of fun.
In concusion, both views has pros and cons but benefits of theatres and cinema take prcedence over the uses of digital sources as replica of these physical locations where get together occurs and all enjoy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear preference for keeping theatres and cinemas, especially in the paragraph beginning “From my perspective.” The discussion of online viewing identifies convenience and freedom from time restrictions, while the opposing view mentions shared enjoyment and employment, so the main parts of the task are covered. However, the economic and cultural arguments are only briefly stated: employment is mentioned without explaining its wider significance, and the claim that cinemas are part of tradition is not illustrated. Your personal example of going with friends supports the social point, but further explanation of why this matters would develop your position more fully. The response meets the stated length requirement; nine words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, your opinion, and a conclusion. This makes the line of argument easy to follow, and transitions such as “In contrast to this” and “From my perspective” help signal changes in focus. The conclusion also returns to your preference. To make the progression more effective, ensure each paragraph develops one central point rather than moving quickly between claims. For example, the paragraph supporting cinemas shifts from shared enjoyment to employment and business without showing how these ideas connect. Some linking phrases feel formulaic, and references such as “these places” could be made more precise. Clearer links between claims and explanations would strengthen cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “flexibility,” “employment,” “tradition,” and “independence of time.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make the writing less natural, such as “the prospective” for a viewpoint, “proper entertainment sense,” and “fake smile.” Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “beleive,” “availabe,” and “buisness,” which reduce the accuracy of the vocabulary. Aim to use familiar words precisely before attempting more elaborate expressions, and check spelling carefully. More specific terms for the cultural and economic roles of cinemas would also help you express your ideas with greater precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a complex opening with “while” and a reason introduced by “as.” The main meaning is generally understandable, but control is uneven. For example, “these places provide … as a lot of people come … looks like” contains an unclear clause structure, and “both views has pros and cons” has a subject–verb agreement error. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “This is main thing” and the long opening sentence, which would be clearer if divided. Work on building accurate clauses and checking agreement, articles, and punctuation. More reliable control of these structures would make your argument easier to read.
