Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear preference for watching films at home, while acknowledging that cinemas can create a stronger sense of attachment to characters. The online-view paragraph offers relevant reasons—convenience, flexible timing and affordability—and the cinema paragraph mentions economic income and cultural exposure. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the economic point is asserted rather than explained, and the cultural benefit is briefly described without a specific example. Your conclusion also introduces the cinema atmosphere as a qualification, but does not fully reconcile it with your claim that home viewing is better “in every aspects.” Develop each main reason with a clear explanation or example, and make your final position more consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. This makes the discussion easy to follow at a general level. You also use signposting such as “To elaborate,” “Moreover,” and “Having considered both sides.” However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is occasionally unclear. For example, “By contrary” does not smoothly introduce the opposing view, while the final sentence shifts from preferring home viewing to praising the cinema atmosphere without explaining how these points fit together. Improve progression by linking each supporting detail directly to its main claim, and use a wider range of natural transitions and clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “online platforms,” “subscriptions,” “economy,” “historical,” and “cultural and traditional knowledge.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and you attempt some less common expressions. However, inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable, as in “enterainment,” “convinient,” “enconomy,” “cultutal,” and “audiance.” Some collocations are also unnatural, such as “get rid of stressful life” and “more exposure about culture.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the overall argument, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Focus on accurate spelling and common word partnerships, and choose vocabulary that expresses the intended meaning directly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because” and “while,” and the main ideas remain understandable. However, some errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction persist. For example, “to watch movie in theatre can provides” combines an infinitive with an incorrect verb form, and “people can watch movies … they do not need to travel” joins two independent clauses without suitable punctuation or a connector. Other examples include “it enhance flexibility” and “watching movies at home are more beneficial.” These issues show that complex structures are not yet consistently controlled. Check subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and divide or connect clauses carefully.
