Student answer (Band 5.5)
Development in IT sector provided different types of online platforms for entertainment. But still it is argued that watch shows and films online are better than visiting theathers or cinema and some people yet support to visit cinema halls for their enjoyment. In this essay I will discuss both of the views and gave my personal opinion.
To begin with watching online TV shows and movies now a days is a common trend in new generation. Because of the busy sechdule people cannot manage their time to watch a psecific show in a theather so they prefer online platforms like NETFLIX, PRIMEVIDEO to watch their favourite shows and films any time when they are free along with better picture quality and different languages. Most importantly some people does not like to visit rushed places so staying at home and watching anything they wanted even with familiy or friend is a great option for them.
Furthermore, there are many humans out there who still love to visit cinema and theather for better experience and they thought it is pocket friendly and something that their culture promotes. People who were born in late 90s and visited these entertainment places during their adulthood with loved ones have a emotional connection with these places which attracs them again and again. Moreover, seeing your favourite actor performing the best acts in front of you reminds yoour culture and thats what some people keep visiting the theather very often in present era.
According to my point of view as we are moving very fastly in era of development online apps and websites are the best place to search for and watch our favourite shows. I strongly supported this view because some website provides free streaming and edge is the timig of your availability.
In conclusion, now a days people have more attention towards digital platforms for better entertainment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both perspectives and state a clear preference for online entertainment, especially in the final body paragraph. Relevant reasons include convenience for people with busy schedules and the emotional connection some audiences have with cinemas. However, the discussion is uneven: the online-viewing argument has several supporting points, while the cultural and economic importance of theatres is only partly explained. The claim that cinemas are “pocket friendly” is not supported, and the cultural point about seeing actors perform is unclear in relation to cinemas. Your opinion is also introduced late and would be stronger if explained and maintained throughout. Develop each side with specific, relevant examples and make the comparison behind your position clearer.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad progression. However, some linking is mechanical, and the conclusion mainly repeats that people are turning to digital platforms rather than summarising both views or reinforcing your reasoning. Connections within paragraphs are sometimes unclear, particularly where the discussion moves from emotional attachment to culture. The opening also promises a personal opinion, but that position appears explicitly only in the third body paragraph. Use clearer links between each reason and the main point, and make the conclusion draw together the comparison.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “online platforms,” “picture quality,” “streaming,” and “emotional connection,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “support to visit cinema halls,” “rushed places,” and “the best place to search for and watch.” Repetition of “shows,” “films,” and “visit” also limits precision. Spelling errors, including “sechdule,” “psecific,” and “attracs,” are noticeable and reduce the overall control of vocabulary. Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing convenience, cultural value, and economic impact, and check spelling and natural word combinations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “Because of the busy schedule” and a relative clause in “people who were born in late 90s.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “watch shows and films online are better” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “some people does not like” has subject–verb disagreement. Verb forms are also inconsistent in “I will discuss … and gave my personal opinion” and “I strongly supported this view.” Articles and sentence boundaries need attention as well, as the opening “Because” clause is a fragment. Practise forming complete clauses and checking agreement, tense, and articles.
