Student answer (Band 5.5)
Few people believe that online entertainment is so convinent in this digital era that theatres and cinemas are no longer have much importance. but some believe economically and culturally theatres and cinemas still plays a important role.
In the age of smart phones and wide access to online entertainment platforms, make it easier for every internet user to watch TV shows and movies at their convinance and mostly free of cost. In this way everyone has access to entertainment at the tip of their fingertips. and this surly have decreased the number of people use to visit cinemas and theatres for entertainment purpose, as it makes them cost a few dollar and time constrain them. Whereas mobile phones and laptops with internet are easy replacements for reduce the bordum. For example, If a person had a long tiring week at work, he/she won't be easily encourage by the idea of leaving home on the weekends for movies but rather consider spending time at home and watch anything available online.
On the other hand, major audience shift from theatres and cinemas to online platforms has effected the entertainment industry so badly. Many professionals are related to entertainment industry and their livelihood is depended on the income generated by theatres and cinemas. Similarly, spreading culture through theatres and cinemas used to be most effected for the past few decades.
It is understable that how entertainment industry has changed platforms as audience has shifted to easier solutions. but in my opinion if these theatres and cinemas even vanish over time the industry can survive and make contributions economically and culturally. or even generate more lasting impressions and money. For example, audience are not bond geometrically they watch any from any part of the world. Other than that monitization has now gives opportunity to earn by view count. That means movies can make more money online rather than just releasing in cinemas for a few days.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both perspectives and make your own position clear: you accept that online entertainment has changed viewing habits, and argue that the industry can continue to contribute economically and culturally online. The examples about staying home after a tiring week and earning through view counts are relevant. However, the two sides are not developed equally. The case for cinemas’ and theatres’ continuing economic and cultural importance is asserted rather than explained; for instance, “their livelihood is depended on” is not followed by a specific explanation or example. The cultural role is also only briefly mentioned. To strengthen the response, explain what live venues uniquely provide and support each main claim with a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph about online viewing, a paragraph presenting the opposing view, and a conclusion with your opinion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. Some links between ideas are less clear or mechanical, however. The paragraph beginning “On the other hand” introduces the opposing view, but moves quickly from livelihoods to cultural influence without developing the connection. In the final paragraph, “but” and “or even” do not clearly connect the claims, and “Other than that” introduces an example that is not fully explained. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports; also ensure sentence openings and transitions are punctuated consistently.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital era,” “online entertainment platforms,” “livelihood,” and “monetization,” and you attempt some less common expressions. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the meaning less clear, as in “convinant,” “convinance,” “bordum,” and “monitization.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “audience shift” and “not bond geometrically,” which appears to mean that audiences are not geographically restricted. Repetition of “entertainment,” “online,” and “theatres and cinemas” limits flexibility. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, such as “audiences have shifted” and “geographical boundaries,” and choose precise terms for the economic and cultural effects you discuss.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “If a person had a long tiring week” and a contrast introduced by “Whereas.” However, errors occur frequently across sentence structures and can make some ideas difficult to follow. For example, “theatres and cinemas are no longer have much importance” combines incompatible verb forms, while “this surly have decreased the number of people use to visit” has problems with agreement and clause structure. There are also errors with articles and agreement in “a important role” and “theatres and cinemas still plays.” Several sentence boundaries are unclear, particularly where a new sentence begins with lowercase “but.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb patterns, and complete sentence construction before adding more complex clauses.
