Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some prople say that in the digital age, theaters and cinemas areno longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online. Others argue that theaters and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. We will discuss both point of view. Now adays many people think that they are no longer important. In my opinion, they are considered very important among youngsters. Younger people like to go cinema tp watch movie as compared to they want to watch onlion at home. There are few advantages of watching something in cinemas ans theatres. In cinema, the screen is very big as comapre to mobile, tablets and laptops. Our hands get tired of holding devices. It is more enjoyable to watch movie in cinema. There is quiet relaxing environemnt. The seats are very comfortable and the air conditioners are very good, that helps our mind to be relaxed. There is faciltiy of canteen. As well as , the lobby looks very nice and aesthetic.
I visit cinema sometimes, the lobby looks very nice, cleaned and mind blowing. I really enjoy watching movies in cinema because the screen is very big and the cinema hall is very quiet. Now in developed countries, there is facility of 3D cinemas. This will be more enjoyable. I would like to visit a 3D cinema in future.
Some people really like watching them online. Because in their point of view, the cinema and theatre staff charge heavy amount. They just want to watch dramas and movies laying on their bed. They think it is better to lay on a bed and watch movie onlline at home then paying them. As well as, we need to fill up petrol to go cinema
In my point of view, we should went to cinema sometimes to relax our mind and sometimes we should watch movie at home. If the movie seems very interesting, then we should go to cinema.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear preference for cinemas, especially through your comments about the large screen, comfortable seats and relaxed atmosphere, and you also mention why some people prefer watching at home, such as cost and convenience. However, the discussion is only partial: the economic and cultural importance named in the prompt is not really explored, and the opposing view receives less explanation than your personal experience. The conclusion, “we should went to cinema sometimes,” gives a general recommendation rather than fully resolving the comparison. To strengthen the response, explain both viewpoints more evenly and develop your opinion with specific reasons or examples, including how cinemas contribute economically or culturally.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic sequence: it introduces the topic, gives reasons for visiting cinemas, presents reasons for watching online, and ends with your opinion. This gives the reader some organisation. However, progression is limited because several points are listed one after another, such as the screen, seats, air conditioning and canteen, without showing how they connect to the main argument. The paragraph beginning “I visit cinema sometimes” repeats earlier points, while the online-viewing discussion is not clearly separated from the conclusion. Linking phrases such as “As well as” are also used awkwardly or repetitively. Group related ideas into focused paragraphs and use clear transitions to show contrast and cause and effect.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate basic ideas, including “cinema,” “theatre,” “screen,” “devices,” “3D” and “petrol.” Some descriptive language, such as “comfortable” and “relaxing,” helps convey your experience. However, the range is limited and several choices or collocations are inaccurate or informal, including “heavy amount,” “mind blowing,” “fill up petrol” and “lay on a bed.” Spelling errors such as “prople,” “onlion” and “environemnt” are noticeable and sometimes make reading less smooth. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully; for example, describe ticket prices as high and explain that travelling to the cinema also involves fuel costs.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Most sentences use simple structures, and the main meaning is generally understandable. You also attempt some longer sentences, for example, “Because in their point of view, the cinema and theatre staff charge heavy amount,” but these attempts are often faulty or incomplete. Errors include “we should went” instead of a correct modal construction, “as compared to they want to watch” and the sentence fragment beginning “Because in their point of view.” There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “There is quiet relaxing environemnt” and “I visit cinema sometimes, the lobby looks very nice.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then connect them with correctly formed subordinate clauses and use consistent punctuation.
