Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the modern era, theatres and cinemas are significantly increased for entertainment. Many individuals argue that these types of entertainment are not essential in today's world because people have the electronic devices and they can watch on online when they want. While, others believe that they are crucial for economically and culturally. I will discuss both perspectives before presensting my own opinion.
On the one hand, many people believe that these types of entertainment is not essential because individuals are watch on any time. They beneficial for saving the time and lot of money. They can easily access the movies and dramas on their resident. Although these types of entertainment are good for watching movies and dramas on live, they leads to waste of time and became less aware of saving money. Therefore, theatres and cinemas are not essential in the digital era.
On the other hand, these types of entertainments are crucial for development of country and culturally. Individuals are enjoy time together and meet new people. Theatres and cinemas plays important role in the economically development. They also provide a good environment for enjoying movies and spend time together from a comfort zone. Subsequently, these are crucial for social development and growth of economics.
From my perspective, the theatres and cinemas are important beause individuals are sepnt time in specific place and look the view through face-to-face. they also encourge people to stepout their comfort zone and watch movies with friends and relatives.
In conclusion, those points are good for people perspectives, but going to cinemas and theatres encourage individuals to spend time in open environment and it is beneficial for country economically and culturally growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a preference for theatres and cinemas, especially in the final two paragraphs. The discussion is relevant, but the reasons are often asserted rather than explained. For example, you say online viewing saves “time and lot of money,” then add that it can “lead to waste of time,” without clarifying how this supports the first view. The economic and cultural case is also broad: “development of country” and “social development” would be stronger with a specific explanation or example, such as jobs created by venues or the shared experience of a live performance. Your opinion is present, but its support is limited, and the contrast between the two sides could be clearer.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for each view, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the overall arrangement. However, progression within paragraphs is less secure, and some links are mechanical or unclear. In the first body paragraph, the move from online convenience to “waste of time” is difficult to follow, while “Although” does not clearly connect the ideas that follow it. The conclusion repeats the preference but does not bring the main reasons together. Use clearer cause-and-effect links and make each paragraph develop one central point in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “digital era,” “entertainment,” “economically,” and “culturally,” so the subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes meaning difficult to interpret. Examples include “watch on online,” “on their resident,” “comfort zone,” and “growth of economics.” There are also spelling errors such as “presensting,” “beause,” and “encourge.” Aim to learn common phrases for this topic and check word forms and spelling. More precise language for employment, cultural experiences, and online access would help you express your ideas without relying on repeated general terms such as “crucial” and “important.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use a range of basic linking structures, including “because,” “although,” and “while.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to understand. For example, “these types of entertainment is not essential” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “individuals are watch” uses an incorrect verb form. Similar issues appear in “They leads” and “Theatres and cinemas plays.” Sentence boundaries and capitalisation also need attention, as in “they also” after a full stop. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them into longer sentences while checking agreement and verb forms.
