Student answer (Band 6.0)
In modern world online entertainment is becoming more popular amoung the people, While some individual believe accessible entertainment on online platforms turns theatres and cinemas less significant. But It is often argued that theatres and cinemas are still vital both economically and culturally. In my view, Both online entertainment as well as theatres and cinemas are equally important as both of the entertainment mods have their own benifits.
One argument in favour of online entertainment is that, it is easily accessible to a wide range of audience. This is because virtual entertainment can be accessed with the availability of just a mobile phone or computer with internet connection. For instance rural areas in majority of countries do not have cinemas available, but internet has been widespread even in the most of the backward areas of the countries. Therefore, it makes entertainment accessible for the people living in small villages with no cinemas available.
On the other hand, theatres and cinemas still plays a vital role in cultural and economic factors. This is because theatres and cinemas provides an platform to the population to intract with each other while having entertainment. For an example individual from different cultures are gathered in a theatre to watch a movie or play which allows the the public to share the views and thoughts with each other. In addition theatres and cinemas also contributes towards the economical growth not just by selling tickets but with providing services at additional cost.
In conclusion, both the sides have convincing arguments. However, In my perspective both the approaches are equally crucial where online entertainment provides access to the people in less developed areas, While theatres and cinemas are still contributing in both cultural and economic factors.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and give a clear opinion that online entertainment and in-person venues are “equally important.” The paragraph on online access explains a relevant benefit, using rural communities as an example, while the next paragraph identifies social interaction and economic contributions as reasons to retain theatres and cinemas. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: the economic claim about ticket sales and additional services would be stronger with a specific example of jobs or local business, and the cultural value of shared viewing could be developed further. Your conclusion restates your position, but the comparison between the two forms of entertainment remains broad. More detailed support for each main idea would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. The progression from online accessibility to the continuing social and economic role of venues is easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help orient the reader. At times, however, linking is mechanical or awkward. The opening uses “While” and then “But” to introduce contrasting points, and “Therefore” repeats a relationship that is already clear. Some references are also imprecise, such as “both the sides” and “both the approaches,” which makes the conclusion less specific. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make each paragraph’s central point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “accessible,” “cultural,” “economical growth,” and “additional cost,” and the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “vital role” and “a wide range of audience.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “amoung,” “benifits,” “mods,” and “intract.” Some combinations are unnatural or imprecise: “entertainment mods” should be “forms of entertainment,” and “economical growth” is better expressed as “economic growth.” Repetition of “theatres and cinemas” and “entertainment” also limits flexibility. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for discussing access, culture, and economic impact.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “areas … which allows the public” and a reason clause beginning “This is because.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “theatres and cinemas still plays” and “provides,” while articles are missing or incorrect in “with the availability of just a mobile phone” and “provides an platform.” The opening sentence also has faulty punctuation and capitalisation, and the construction “both online entertainment as well as theatres” is not parallel. Aim for accurate agreement and article use, and punctuate sentence boundaries consistently. More controlled complex sentences would improve accuracy without sacrificing variety.
