Student answer (Band 5.0)
In todays digital age and growing generation some people say that theaters and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment online however many people still argue
and believe on theatres and cinemas are still important economically and also it follow the culture.
In first perspective some people thought we can stay at home and enjoy cinema rather than going to theatres. Even my friends also belong to that people because they don't like to enjoy sitting in public places like theatres and cinemas. I noticed some people liked to saw cinema alone. They thought it not directly follow the cultural and economical problems but in my opinion it has indirect impact on economy plus cultural.
In another side those people who liked to go theatres and cinemas with family and chill with too much people. On top of that I also belong from that community beacuse i love to go with my friends and enjoy with maximum people. Plus going theatres and cinemas still help in economy as well as culture for our country. Not to mention that going somtimes for cinemas make you feels stressful and happy.
To conclude as many people thought theatres and cinemas ae not that much important but I think going to watch movies to theatres and cinemas indirectly help to improve the country economically and culturally. Even after going outside to enjoy is keeps your mind fresh and rather than that it gives you new inspiration for you work also.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You present a relevant opinion: you acknowledge that some people prefer watching films at home, then state that cinemas remain valuable economically and culturally. However, the discussion is only partial and the reasons are under-developed. The online-viewing side is mainly illustrated by friends who dislike public places, while the economic and cultural benefits are asserted rather than explained or supported with a specific example. The conclusion repeats your position but does not add development. The response contains 238 words, so it is 12 words below the required minimum; 13 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To strengthen the response, explain each view with a clear reason and a relevant example, and develop your own position more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, paragraphs for the two perspectives, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “In first perspective,” “In another side,” and “To conclude” help the reader identify the stages of your answer. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, and several points are repeated rather than connected into a developed argument. For example, the claim that cinemas help the economy and culture appears in both the second body paragraph and the conclusion without further explanation. Some linking phrases are also used awkwardly, and the reference in “those people” is not fully clear. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, then explain or exemplify it before moving to the next point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a basic range of topic vocabulary, including “digital age,” “entertainment,” “economy,” “cultural,” and “inspiration,” so the general subject is clear. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “believe on,” “follow the culture,” “belong from that community,” and “enjoy with maximum people.” “Cinema” and “theatres” are also repeated frequently instead of being varied or replaced with precise references. Aim to learn natural word partnerships and use them in context; for instance, describe cinemas as supporting local employment or preserving shared cultural experiences rather than saying they “help” the country in general.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “however” and a concluding sentence beginning “Even after going outside.” Nevertheless, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “some people thought we can stay” shifts tense inconsistently, “they thought it not directly follow” is missing grammatical elements, and “going … make you feels” has incorrect agreement and verb form. Several sentences also run together without clear punctuation, particularly in the opening. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a supporting clause, and check subject–verb agreement, tense consistency, and sentence boundaries before submitting.
