Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives: online access is illustrated through YouTube, Netflix and social media, while the second body paragraph describes family cinema visits and the cultural role of live performances. Your conclusion also indicates that you see both forms as continuing to matter. However, the discussion is uneven and the central claims are not fully developed. The economic importance of theatres and cinemas is asserted but not explained with a clear example, and the cultural point is supported mainly by a brief, unclear reference to Sydney and “the Oprah.” Your position could also be stated more directly and consistently. Explain why online entertainment may replace some visits, then show specifically how shared experiences, employment or support for the arts sustain physical venues.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the contrast, and the ideas generally follow a sensible order. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear. For example, “Hence, this claim is nearly accurate” does not precisely identify which claim, while “Consequently” introduces a conclusion that is difficult to follow. Several sentences also combine multiple points without clear relationships, particularly the sentence about economic importance and artistic performances. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim. More precise referencing would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “digital advancement,” “online entertainment,” “artistic performances,” and “cultural preservation.” These choices show an effort to discuss both technology and the role of venues. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “every entertainment,” “access of media content,” “lighter mode,” and “sole present on social media” are difficult to interpret. There are also spelling and form issues, such as “influencial,” and inconsistent naming or capitalisation. Aim for natural combinations and check the exact meaning of less familiar expressions. More precise terms such as “streaming services,” “shared experience,” and “contribute to the local economy” would help express your ideas clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “when,” “while” and “however,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. Some sentence forms are controlled, but errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction remain noticeable. For example, “a certain class of old fashioned people” is followed by “They like,” and “a specific class is still enjoy” combines incompatible verb forms. The opening sentence also needs an article and a clearer clause structure. Punctuation around commas and sentence boundaries is inconsistent, as in “available on internet.Youtube.” Review subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and proofread for spaces after punctuation. Building accurate complex sentences will make your reasoning easier to follow.
