Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both perspectives and state a clear view: online entertainment is convenient, but it cannot fully replace the cinema experience. The discussion of online platforms includes relevant benefits such as avoiding ticket and transport costs, while the opposing view links cinemas with immersion, employment or economic activity, and cultural identity. However, these points are not equally developed. The claim that only 25% choose theatres is not explained or sourced, and the economic argument about high-budget films and India remains difficult to follow. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely how cinemas support jobs, businesses, or cultural production, and develop a specific example. Your position is present throughout, but some supporting ideas need clearer explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting the case for online viewing, a contrasting paragraph about cinemas, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and links within sentences are not always clear. For example, the statistic about theatre attendance is followed by “It shows the profound impact” without specifying exactly what the figure demonstrates. The cinema paragraph also moves quickly from atmosphere to focus, film budgets, and India’s economy. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim; this would make the progression more consistent.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “online platforms,” “immersion,” “visualisation,” “sound effect,” and “cultural entity.” These choices show an effort to discuss both the practical and cultural dimensions of the issue. However, inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make ideas harder to interpret: examples include “prespective,” “covinient,” “atmosphare,” and “ecinomical.” Some collocations are also unnatural, such as “for the entertainment purpose,” “strong roots,” and “traditional footprints.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. For instance, “cinemas contribute to economic growth” is clearer than “cinema halls … encourage … economical growth.” More precise vocabulary would help you express your relevant ideas with less ambiguity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “Whilst others think” and a reason clause beginning “because.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make relationships between ideas unclear. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “platforms makes” and “cinema halls has”; the plural subjects require “make” and “have.” There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “A study show that 25% people,” and several long sentences joined with commas or missing punctuation. Practise checking agreement, articles, and clause boundaries, then revise complex sentences into clear, complete units. This would improve accuracy while preserving the range you are attempting.
