Student answer (Band 5.5)
We have moved in technological driven era which make entertainment more convenient and accessible. Therefore, some people believe that theaters and cinemas no more valuable. Some proponents says that theaters and cinemas are crucial for economical growth and culture. I strongly agree that theater and cinemas are still have their own worth in this digital era.
To begin with, the major contribution of technology in entainment is that it is convenient and affordable. People have busy shedules and can not manage time to go cinema and theaters so they easily watch movies at home any time. Moreover, for watching movies in cinema we buy tickets however, at home we can watch a varitey of movies and enterainment online.
On the other hand, theaters and cinemas have cultural values and also beneficial for economical growth because it represents the culture of a nation and provides jobs on large scale. As a result, it aids in growth of economy in a country. In addition, it provide a specific environment to watch movies on a huge screen and reflect as all characters just in front of us which is not available at home sitting on a sofa. For example, different jobs in cinemas and all setup of it also creates many jobs.
In conclusion, no doubt digital advancement create ease to watch entertainment accessible and affordable. However, cinemas and theaters play vital role in cultural and economical growth by creating jobs and promoting a nation's culture through movies especially in our young generation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear opinion: “I strongly agree” that theatres and cinemas remain valuable. The points about online viewing being convenient and affordable, and cinemas supporting employment and cultural representation, are relevant. However, the economic argument is repeated rather than explained in depth, and the example of jobs is general; a specific example or explanation of how cinemas generate income would strengthen it. The cultural point also needs development, such as explaining how shared viewing or local productions preserve cultural identity. The response is one word below the required minimum, so it does not meet the task’s length requirement. More developed support for each view would make the discussion more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting the advantages of online entertainment, a contrasting paragraph on cinemas, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. However, some connections are mechanical, and ideas within paragraphs are not always developed in a clear sequence. For example, the cinema paragraph moves from cultural value to jobs and then to the viewing environment without fully linking these points. The phrase “As a result” also introduces an economic conclusion that has not yet been explained in detail. Group related points more deliberately and use clearer references between claims and examples to improve cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “convenient,” “affordable,” “cultural values,” “economical growth,” and “specific environment.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce precision. Examples include “technological driven era,” “busy shedules,” “varitey,” and “entainment.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “reflect as all characters just in front of us” and “creates many jobs.” Aim for more accurate topic-specific expressions and check spelling carefully. Using precise phrases such as “the film industry supports employment” would make your arguments clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because it represents the culture of a nation” and a contrast introduced by “however.” The main ideas remain understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “which make entertainment” should use a verb agreeing with “era,” while “Some proponents says” and “it provide” have subject–verb agreement errors. The sentence beginning “For example, different jobs…” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence. There are also missing spaces after full stops, as in “accessible.Therefore.” Review agreement and sentence boundaries, and make sure each example is expressed as a complete sentence.
