Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many believe, that in this technological era theatres and cinemas are not important as they can watch it online while, other's argue that cinamas are still a is a important financially and culturally. I feel that cinemas are really important for the same and the essay will talk about the views of both sides.
Entertainment online has some advantages. Firstly it saves a lot of money. An average person consumes entertainment almost every day and it will be impossible to spent too much money on it. To exemplify this further, consuming content online saves a lot of money because it is a lot cheaper then the theaters. Secondarily, We can skip any part we want. If we dont like a certain part of the movie we can either skip the part it saves a lot of time and intrest.
Whereas, on the other hand consuming entertainment at theater or cinema have its own advantages. The cinema doesn't give entetainment it gives an experience. To illustrate this, cinemas have a huge screen with the latest dolby atmos sound system which makes the movie much more good. Secondly, it generates a lot of income from making films to distributung it and to selling tickets. For instance, it provides employment to various people. Thirdly, it is a culture of human society since ancient times it has been culture of watching movies in cinemas.
In nutshell, both the argues have their own advantages and specilities. I feel that theaters and cinemas are important financially and culturally.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state your position clearly: online entertainment is presented as cheaper and allowing viewers to skip sections, while cinemas are described as offering a distinctive experience and supporting employment. This covers the main parts of the question, and the examples about sound systems and jobs are relevant. However, the economic and cultural importance of cinemas is only briefly explained, and the claim that cinema-going has existed “since ancient times” is not supported or clearly connected to modern cultural value. The online side is also less fully developed than the cinema side. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of each point and add a specific example, such as how shared viewing supports local film industries or cultural events.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “For instance” help readers follow the points, and the overall progression is understandable. However, some linking is mechanical or confusing. “Whereas, on the other hand” repeats the contrast, while “If we dont like a certain part of the movie we can either skip the part it saves…” joins ideas without clear punctuation or a complete connection. The conclusion’s “both the argues” also makes the reference unclear. Use fewer, more precise transitions and make the relationship between each claim and its explanation explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “entertainment,” “employment,” “distributung,” and “dolby atmos sound system.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as describing cinema as an “experience.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word choices are noticeable, including “cinamas,” “entetainment,” “specilities,” and “much more good.” Some phrases are imprecise, such as “consumes entertainment” and “a culture of human society,” which make the argument less natural. Build a more accurate range of collocations for discussing costs, cultural value, and the film industry, and check spelling carefully. These improvements would make your meaning clearer and more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and most of the main ideas remain understandable. However, control of sentence structure and basic grammar is inconsistent. For example, “cinemas … have its own advantages” has a subject–verb agreement and pronoun problem, while “it will be impossible to spent too much money” uses an incorrect verb form. The opening sentence also contains faulty punctuation and an unclear construction, and the sentence beginning “If we dont like…” runs two clauses together. Practise accurate agreement, articles, infinitives, and sentence boundaries, then proofread for punctuation. More reliable control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to follow.
