Student answer (Band 5.5)

Many individual say that in the technology peorid, theatres and cinemas are not longer crucial as people can see all entertainment they want online. Other people argue that theaters and cinemas are still crucial both economically and culturally. In my opinion, Watching movies online are good, cheap and times saving but if you want proper entertainment and culture value you should have to go in cinemas and theaters it will enchance country economy and bost culture values.

On the first side it is very good to see everything online nd it is also very cheap. people can watch movies darmas online and have also a relaxment of foward and backward video such as youtube, netflix. It can also save people's time. A person who come back from work already exhausted he or she wants some enternainment and they do not want to go outside of house so they can watch movies online irrespectly to see time and location They feel also tension free to buy or book ticket if house is full they just need internet. For example favourite TV show and funny Movie.

On the other hand, People still like to go on cinemas and theaters as an entertainment purpose. They want to go outside to watch movie on cinemas after a hectic week. People consider it as an recreational activity. For example go cinemas to watch a new movie which even does not realsed on any social media plat form. Despite from these it will also enchance our economy and culture. For instance if people go to watch movie outside they will buy ticket and grdually more cinemas will develop and directly it will bost country economy. It will also create a sense of culture because it is our tradtional way to watch cinemas and theatres.

In consluion, in the digital era people like to watch everything online because it is cheap they dont need to buy tickets and they do not hve to any advance booking which is tension free but it is also good to go to cinemas and theaters to watch a new movie people do not have to wait for too long for a movie.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and give a clear overall preference: online viewing is convenient, but cinemas and theatres offer a more complete experience and support the economy and culture. The two body paragraphs contain relevant reasons, including saving time at home, seeing new releases, and ticket sales supporting cinema development. However, these points are not equally developed. The economic claim is explained briefly, while the cultural argument that cinema-going is a “traditional way” is asserted rather than supported with a specific example. Your conclusion mainly repeats the convenience argument and does not clearly restate how you weigh the two views. Develop each main point with a fuller explanation or concrete example, and make your final position explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the discussion, and phrases such as “On the other hand” signal a change in perspective. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes uneven. The first body paragraph moves from low cost to convenience and then to booking, while the example “For example favourite TV show and funny Movie” is not clearly connected to a complete point. Some linking is mechanical, and the conclusion repeats earlier ideas rather than drawing them together. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the claim it supports; also check that pronouns and references make the relationships between ideas clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “entertainment,” “economy,” “culture,” “recreational activity,” and “advance booking.” There are also attempts to express more specific ideas, such as describing viewers as “exhausted” after work. However, the range is limited in places, and noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the message harder to read: “technology peorid,” “relaxment,” “enternainment,” and “bost” are examples. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “proper entertainment and culture value” and “go on cinemas.” Build a reliable set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. More precise wording would help distinguish the convenience of online viewing from the shared experience and cultural role of cinemas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “if you want proper entertainment” and a relative clause in “A person who come back from work.” The main meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “Many individual say” has a subject–verb agreement problem, “Watching movies online are” has incorrect agreement, and “they do not have to any advance booking” is missing a verb. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the long sentence beginning “A person who come back from work.” Practise agreement, verb patterns after “have to,” and sentence punctuation. Aim to make complex sentences accurate before adding more clauses.
