Student answer (Band 5.0)

If we talk about the the digital age so definitly today people are so busy and all movie and show are avaialble on internet so people are not need to go the cinemas or theathres to watch the movie or invest the money which is worthless

But if we talk about the people who agree to watch the movie in cimemas or theatres rather at home its is good point becuase many people enjoy movie in cinemas becuase it give the full screen or music and you can get the great experience with friend or family and it is also benefical for country economy. while governembt impose the tax on the theatres and cinemas and cinemas and theatres earn from public .

The other adventgae watch the show or movie in cinemas and theatres to spend the quality time with your friend . i remember that last month i visited the lahore with my friend and we decided to watch movie in cue cinmas and we had great experience overall movie is not my type but was memorable day for us.

the disadvantage is that culturally is not important becuase mostly student leave the school college and univeristy to watch the movie which is not good its not impact on the study student involve in useless activites and which are not make the future .

my opinion if the educational movie or show which relate to study or improve the knowledge its better the vvulary movie which affect student future its also help in student study and econmy is also bulid

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides by noting that online access can make cinema visits seem unnecessary, while theatres offer a shared experience and contribute to the economy. The Lahore cinema visit is a relevant personal example, and you do give an opinion about educational films. However, the response only partially develops the task: the case for online entertainment is brief, and the cultural importance of theatres is not clearly discussed. The point about students missing school introduces a concern but does not explain the broader cultural argument. Your final opinion is also difficult to identify because it focuses on educational content rather than clearly stating whether cinemas remain important overall. Develop each view with a reason and example, then state your position directly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some paragraphing, and the response moves from online viewing to the benefits of cinemas, then to a personal example and a concluding opinion. This gives the reader a basic sense of organisation. However, progression is not consistently clear: the paragraph beginning “the disadvantage” shifts to students’ attendance and does not connect clearly to the cultural importance raised in the question. Linking phrases such as “But if we talk about” and “the other advantage” are repetitive, while the final paragraph does not clearly follow from the preceding points. Use topic sentences that identify each view, and connect examples explicitly to the point they support. A clearer sequence would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “economy,” “quality time,” “experience,” and “educational movie,” so the main subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “movie,” “cinemas,” and “theatres.” Frequent spelling errors, such as “definitly,” “avaialble,” and “benefical,” and inaccurate word choices such as “worthless” for the cost of a cinema visit can make meaning harder to understand. Some expressions are also unnatural, for example “the full screen or music” and “the vvulary movie.” Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing online access, shared experiences, cultural value, and economic benefits, and check spelling before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example with “because” and “which,” and you use some simple sentence forms to communicate your main points. However, the range is limited, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. In “people are not need to go,” the verb pattern is incorrect; “it give” lacks subject–verb agreement; and “many people enjoy movie” is missing an article or plural form. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, with several ideas joined into long, unclear sentences. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause. Pay particular attention to verb forms, articles, agreement, and full stops.
