Student answer (Band 5.0)

People have different views about whether entertainment providers like theatres and cinemas are no longer needed or few individuals believe that people can watch all the enjoing videos on internet. While both perspectives their own merits, I believe that attending entertainment in theateres and cinema is the better approach because it provides vital social interaction and access to newly cinema production.

One the one hand, there are clear arguments in favor of theatres and cinemas. The primary benefit is that any individual access cinema and watch trending movies and drama. In addition outdoor enjoing activity provides more joy rather than indoor. For example, theatres and cinemas provide facilities and complementary foods. A part from that, people are watching any kinds of drama and movie on launcing day.

One the other hand, other believe that online platforms are best place to entertainment, and I find this view is less convincing. First of all, online internet base platforms offer various types of movies and drama rather than cinemas. As well as, online entertainment is affordable and convinient. For instance, netflix and hotstar provide wide range of movie series for charge of only 99 rupees per month. Furthermore, online platform provides 24 hours customer care support. As a result, individual watching video at any place.

In conclusion, although some people support outdoor enjoing platforms are no longer needed because of widspread internet enjoing platforms also they cost-friendly and easy to access. I believe that theatres and cinemas provides early movie and better environment for joy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall preference for theatres and cinemas, stating that they offer “vital social interaction” and access to new productions, and you include points about both in-person and online entertainment. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The benefits of cinemas are mainly described as trending films, food and a more enjoyable outing, while the online view is supported by affordability and choice; the cultural and economic importance mentioned in the prompt is not really explored. Your opinion also shifts: the introduction favours cinemas, but the conclusion says online platforms are “cost-friendly and easy to access” without clearly weighing this against your preference. Develop each side with specific explanations and examples, then maintain a consistent, explicit position throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views and a conclusion. Signposts such as “One the one hand,” “One the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers identify the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the cinema paragraph moves from access to films, to outdoor enjoyment, to food and launch-day viewing without explaining how these points connect. Some linking phrases are awkward or repetitive, including “As well as” and “A part from that,” and the conclusion combines several ideas in a confusing sentence. Use fewer, more accurate transitions and organise each paragraph around one main claim, followed by explanation and a relevant example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “entertainment providers,” “social interaction,” “online platforms,” and “affordable,” so the main topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repeated, such as “outdoor enjoing activity,” “online internet base platforms,” and “early movie.” Spelling errors in “convinient,” “widspread,” and “enjoing” also make the writing less clear and polished. Aim for precise phrases such as “a cinema outing,” “internet-based streaming services,” and “newly released films.” Vary repeated words like “movie” and “drama” with suitable alternatives, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentence forms, including a contrast in the opening (“While both perspectives…”), and use basic present-tense statements to communicate your ideas. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction and agreement. For example, “While both perspectives their own merits” is missing a verb, while “other believe” and “theatres and cinemas provides” have subject–verb agreement problems. Several phrases also lack necessary grammatical elements, as in “any individual access cinema” and “individual watching video at any place.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses with correct subjects, verbs and articles. Proofread each sentence to ensure it is complete and its verb agrees with its subject.
