Student answer (Band 5.5)

In today's world you can watch anything, anywhere at anytime which is more accessible and affordable. However some people still argues that the theatre and cinema are important to the society in terms of cuture and economics.I strongly believes that theater and cinemas are still important to the society.

On the one hand people can watch the film or any type of drama from the comfort of their bed without spending too much on the transports, tickets. For example a person living in village dont have a cinema or theater nearby but he/she still have an access to international film from his phone. The digital platform have made an entertianment much easy and accessible to everyone acrss the globe.

On the other hand the theater and cinema continues to provide cultural and economical benfit providing job opportunites for the ticket sellers, cleaners of cinema, a hotel nearby to the cinema or theater. Culturally watching a movie with the differnet people on the big screen produce a shared experience that cant be experienced in the home alone.Similarly, theater gives the experience to the people of live performance and tells the role of an actor in their lives.

In my opnion the online platforms be it smartphone,tv or any other kind of online device have made the entertianment more accessible and easy for the humans across the globe. In the same way a family can decide to watch the move on a common evening while may decide to watch the movie in the cinema durning the release of new movie of their favourite actor or actress. So they both can go parellel.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both perspectives and state your view clearly: cinemas and theatres remain important, while online entertainment is convenient, and the conclusion that the two can “go parallel” gives a relevant overall position. The examples about a village resident accessing films on a phone and employment around venues support the discussion. However, the economic case is asserted more than explained, and the cultural point about live performance is brief. The online-view paragraph also focuses mainly on convenience and cost rather than explaining why this might make venues less important. Develop each side with a clearer chain of reasoning and explain how your examples demonstrate the claims.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a concluding opinion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” make the contrast easy to follow, while “For example” introduces a relevant illustration. Some links are mechanical, however, and the final paragraph repeats the accessibility point from the introduction rather than building the conclusion towards a sharper synthesis. The sentence beginning “In the same way” is also difficult to follow because the contrast between watching at home and going to the cinema is not clearly signposted. Use linking expressions that show the precise relationship between ideas, and make each paragraph progress from claim to explanation to example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “digital platform,” “shared experience,” “live performance,” and “job opportunities.” These phrases show an attempt to discuss both economic and cultural value. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, such as “cuture,” “entertianment,” “economical benfit,” and “made the entertianment much easy.” Repetition of “accessible,” “movie,” and “important” also limits flexibility. Choose more precise collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe venues as “economically beneficial” and say that platforms have made entertainment “more accessible.” This would make the argument clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including the contrast between online viewing and venue-based entertainment and the example beginning “For example.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, and verb forms occur across the response. For instance, “some people still argues” should be “some people still argue,” and “the theater and cinema continues” should be “theatres and cinemas continue.” In “a person living in village dont have,” the article and verb form need correction. Some sentence boundaries and punctuation are also missing, particularly before “Similarly.” Practise checking subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries, while retaining the range of structures you are attempting.
