Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern society, A number of people argue that digital age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important because people should streaming all the entertainment they want is available at online. while others believe that theaters and cinemas are still important both the view of economically and culturally. I believe that streaming content online is cheaper and save time but it not create atmosphere and feelings as similar as cinemas and theatres.
On the one hand, the growing popularity of online streaming platforms has made entertainment more accessible. Nowadays, people can watch a wide range of movies, web series and television shows with the comfort of their homes without travelling to cinemas or spending money on expensive tickets. For example, platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video allow users to enjoy entertainment at any time they want. Furthermore, online services offer a variety of content at affordable prices, making them an attractive alternative to traditional cinemas. As a result, many people prefer watching films at home, which may reduce the number of visitors to cinemas.
on the other hand, Theaters and cinemas continue to play significate role in economic and cultural development. From an economic perspective, they create employment opportunities for actors, directors, cameramen and all the staff. They also generate opportunities for the other business to promote such as restaurants, and cafes. Moreover, cinemas provide a unique experience because people can enjoy movies on a large screen with high-quality sound and share their feelings with others. From culture perspective, theatres preserve traditional art forms and allow people to experience live performances, which can not be possible at home. For example, traditional plays and cultural dramas can introduce younger generation to their country's history and values. Therefore, theatres and cinemas are still valuable.
To conclusion, streaming online is beneficial for those people who do not want to travel and spend more money on exclusive tickets while cinema provides more facilities such as high quality sound and large display and theatres provides a stage where people can show their ability.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both views and give a clear personal position: online streaming is convenient and affordable, but it cannot reproduce the atmosphere of cinemas and theatres. The discussion includes relevant support, such as streaming services and the employment and cultural roles of venues. This meets the task well, though the two sides are not developed equally in depth. The online-view paragraph explains convenience and cost, while the economic point about supporting other businesses is only briefly stated, and the conclusion mainly repeats the comparison rather than drawing the arguments together. To strengthen the response, explain more specifically how venues contribute economically or culturally and connect those points to your opinion. The response meets the stated length requirement; nine words copied from the prompt were excluded from the count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. The progression from online convenience to the continuing economic and cultural value of venues is easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “on the other hand,” and “Moreover” help guide the reader. This is a coherent arrangement, although some linking is mechanical and a few connections could be clearer. For example, the conclusion lists benefits but does not explicitly restate how the two sides support your overall position. Capitalisation at the start of paragraphs is also inconsistent (“on the other hand”). Use transitions selectively and make the relationship between each example and the main point more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “online streaming platforms,” “employment opportunities,” “traditional art forms,” and “cultural dramas.” These choices make the main ideas clear, and you attempt some more specific expressions. However, several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors reduce precision, such as “significate role,” “from culture perspective,” and “exclusive tickets.” Some phrases are also awkward, including “generate opportunities for the other business to promote.” These issues do not prevent understanding, but they limit the naturalness and accuracy of the vocabulary. Aim to learn common collocations for discussing economic and cultural effects, and check word forms and spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which,” and “while,” and several sentences communicate their meaning clearly. Some grammatical errors remain, however, particularly in the introduction and conclusion. For example, “people should streaming” has an incorrect verb form, “it not create” is missing an auxiliary, and “cinema provides … and theatres provides” has subject–verb agreement errors. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “from culture perspective” and the lowercase start of “while others believe.” These errors are generally understandable, but they prevent consistently accurate control. Practise checking verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation, especially in longer sentences.
