Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this contemporaryworld, theaters and cinemas has become a debate issue in our society. This matter is particularly significant for both ecoomically and culturally.Other argue that it is not important but I agree on this view that it is important. The both perspective play a crucial role I will discuss both point of view.

Some people say that it is not important for everyone because every person have internet, if they want to watch. Theatres and cinemas have take time to anyone person, so it is good thing that people search online and watch the videos what they want.People attend the cinemas with buy tickets because it is not free of cost, but online is free for everyone. For instance, a person watch videos on mobile phone with free and do not pay for attend any cinemas.

The other perspective is that theatres and cinemas are play beneficial role for economically and culturally. The main reason for my opinion is that no everyone watch videos online and take knowledge, so it is good idea for that people who are lazy and do not watch through mobile phone. The second thing is questioning that do perform only in physical class and face to face conversation. It provides good communication skills and take a lot of knowledge. For example, a person attend physical class and ask some questions to the others it can help to enhance the confidence and physical communication, thats why thw cinemas and theatres are important.

In conclude, cinemas and threatres are still important both economically and culturally. It is essentially to recognize the advantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a position—“I agree” that theatres and cinemas remain important—and include points representing both views, such as online viewing being convenient and free, and venues having economic and cultural value. However, the discussion only partially addresses the prompt: the economic and cultural importance is asserted rather than explained, and the later references to physical classes and communication skills do not clearly show how theatres or cinemas provide these benefits. The example about watching videos on a phone supports the online-viewing side, but the opposing side needs equally relevant evidence, such as jobs, local business income, or shared cultural experiences. Develop each view directly and explain how your examples support your opinion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. Basic signposting such as “Some people say” and “The other perspective” also helps distinguish the arguments. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the discussion moves from cinemas to “physical class” without a clear connection, and the conclusion simply repeats that venues are important. Some linking phrases, including “The main reason” and “The second thing,” do not make the relationship between ideas clear. Use topic sentences that directly state each paragraph’s point, then connect each explanation and example to it. Clearer referencing and transitions would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “digital,” “online,” “tickets,” “economically,” and “culturally,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “debate issue,” “take knowledge,” and “physical communication” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “eco omically” and “thw” also show spelling problems. Repetition of “important,” “people,” and “watch” further limits precision. Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing convenience, cultural experiences, employment, and revenue, and check spelling and collocations. More precise wording would help make your reasons clearer without changing your main position.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional idea beginning “if they want to watch” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, the range is limited, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. Examples include “theaters and cinemas has become,” “every person have,” and “Theatres and cinemas have take time.” The sentence beginning “The second thing is questioning” is also structurally unclear, while missing spaces after full stops affect readability. Practise forming accurate subject–verb combinations and complete clauses before adding more complex structures. Careful proofreading for sentence boundaries and punctuation will also improve clarity.
