Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You attempt to discuss both views and give an opinion, but the response addresses the task only minimally. The online-entertainment side is suggested through claims that cinema visits cost money and waste time, while the opposing view mentions meeting people and economic and cultural value; however, these points are unclear and are not explained with relevant examples. Your position is also inconsistent: you first say people watch videos online, then conclude that theatres and cinemas are essential, without clarifying how these views fit together. The response is 41 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop the discussion. To improve, state your position clearly and support each side with a specific reason and example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is an attempt to organise the response around opposing views, using phrases such as “in the one hand” and “on the other hand,” followed by a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic sense of the intended structure. However, ideas within the sections are difficult to follow, and the progression is often unclear: for example, the point about “one picture” and “time waste” is not connected clearly to the claim about online viewing. Linking expressions such as “therefor” are repeated and do not always show the relationship between ideas accurately. Use separate, clearly focused paragraphs for each view and your opinion, and connect each reason to an explanation or example.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “economically,” “culturally,” “entertainment,” “films,” and “videos,” so the topic is recognisable. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice problems make several ideas hard to understand. Examples include “threatres,” “nesssary,” and “in most money are spend in place,” where the intended meaning is unclear. Some phrases, such as “watching to mush films” and “all videos in online,” are not natural English collocations. Build a small set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms; for instance, use “stream films online” and “provide cultural experiences” where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to use longer structures and sequencing, including “because” clauses and a contrast introduced by “on the other hand.” However, sentence structures are often incomplete or inaccurately formed, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation frequently obscure meaning. For example, “people now they do not go” has an unnecessary repeated subject, while “there were gone the threaters” does not form a clear clause. Several ideas run together without reliable sentence boundaries. Practise writing complete subject–verb sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time. Check tense and agreement, and use full stops to separate distinct points.
