Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern age, some people believe that cinemas and theaters are less important becuase people can enjoy movies and other entertainment at home while other argue that they are still insurmountable both economically and culturally. I strongly concur with this statement because no doubt we can enjoy our favourite movies at home.
To begin with, some community members believe that in this modern era cinemas and theaters are becoming less crucial because now every entertainal vedios and movies are availble online and we can enjoy at home. It is very favourable especially for those who have very busy scedule and having no enough time for going cinemas and also it is cost effective because in this modern era travelling is very expensive and also cinemas has high-priced tickets. Thus, watching movies at home is very favourable.
Moreover, some other individuals of society argue that cinemas and theaters are still important. They thought that it is great chance to meet with friends and can go out with family for outing because all the time staying at home is makimg person bored. Also they alterctae that it is very beneficial for economy because cinemas having some entry fees and tickets and including tax.
In conclusion, some community members believe that cinemas and theater are becoming less paramount in this modern era because all those entertaining vedios and movies in cinemas we can enjoy same at home while other argue that cinemas are important culturally and economically. In my opinion, we do not need to go cinemas and theaters because in this modern age everything is accessible at home.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state a personal position, so the response is relevant to the task. The first view is supported with practical points about busy schedules, travel costs and ticket prices; the second mentions social outings and ticket revenue. However, these ideas remain general and are not explained with specific examples or much development. Your position is also inconsistent: the introduction says cinemas remain important, while the conclusion says people do not need to visit them. The task asks you to discuss their economic and cultural importance, but the cultural case is reduced mainly to meeting friends, and the economic point is not explored beyond fees and tax. Make your opinion consistent and develop each side with clearer reasons and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of the argument. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical because paragraphs rely heavily on repeated transitions and repeated references to “modern era” and “cinemas and theaters.” Some connections between ideas are unclear, particularly the shift from cinemas as places to meet friends to their economic contribution. The conclusion largely repeats the introduction rather than resolving the conflicting position. Use clearer referencing, vary linking methods, and make each paragraph progress from a main claim to explanation and an example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “cost effective,” “high-priced tickets,” “economically,” and “culturally.” There are also attempts at more formal wording, such as “less crucial” and “paramount.” However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “insurmountable” does not mean important, “entertainal vedios” is unclear, and “alterctae” appears to be an unsuccessful attempt at a word. Spelling errors such as “becuase,” “availble,” and “scedule” are noticeable. Build a reliable set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocations; prefer precise, familiar wording over ambitious terms used incorrectly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a contrast introduced by “while.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction and agreement occur frequently. For example, “other argue” needs a plural verb, while “cinemas has high-priced tickets” has a subject–verb agreement error. Phrases such as “having no enough time for going cinemas” and “cinemas having some entry fees” are not formed accurately, and the opening sentence combines several ideas without clear grammatical control. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then add subordinate clauses and relative clauses. Check verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during revision.
