Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people think that in the moderan age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the enjoyable activities they want online platfroms, while some others people belive that theatres and cinema are still important both economically and tradionally. This essay will discuss on both views and give your own opinion. In my opinion, both views have their own importants and values.
To begin with, some people say that in the moderan age, mostly people watch all the entertainment online. These people think that theatres and cinemas are no longer important. People can easily watch online activities such as, movies, dramas, TV shows and comedy shows on Youtube, Movie Box, Netflix and Prime Videos. People buy monthly subcription in low budget and use all family. For example, people watch online movies with their families and friends togethere at home. People do not need to buy cinema tickets. It is very cheap or reasonable way. The main benefit, we can see one movie or drama for many times.
On the other hand, some people believe that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. Theatres and cinemas pay taxes and help government for financially and economically. Many people sit together at same time and same place in cinemas and theatres. It is good way to share feelings and ideas with other. For instance, in the past mostly people buy tickets and go theatres to watch movies, dramas and comedy shows. Cinemas and theatres remined their grandparents days. Furthermore, cinemas provide many job opportunities and tourism.
In conclusion, nowdays people do not have much time to go in cinemas and theatres. Mostly people watch all the entertainment online. Others people argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. Many people go there sit togethere and watch movies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both sides of the discussion and give a personal view, so the response is relevant to the task. The online-entertainment paragraph includes examples such as Netflix and watching films at home, while the opposing paragraph mentions tax revenue, shared experiences, employment and tourism. However, your opinion—“both views have their own importants and values”—is not developed into a clear position, and the conclusion mainly repeats the two sides rather than explaining which view you support. Several points are asserted but not explained: for example, the link between cinemas and government finances is unclear, and the cultural value of theatres is only briefly suggested through “grandparents days.” Develop fewer ideas with specific explanations and make your own judgement consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. “To begin with” and “On the other hand” help signal the change in perspective, and the examples are generally placed with the relevant argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weak, and several ideas are joined without showing their relationship clearly. For instance, the sentence about people sitting together is followed by a claim about sharing feelings, then a reference to the past, without a clear explanation linking these points. The conclusion repeats earlier claims rather than bringing them together. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports; vary linking language rather than relying mainly on basic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “entertainment,” “monthly subscription,” “job opportunities,” and “tourism.” However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which can make meaning less clear. Examples include “online activities” for films and programmes, “help government for financially,” and “cinemas remined their grandparents days.” Spelling errors such as “moderan,” “tradionally,” and “togethere” are also noticeable. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, describe online services as streaming platforms, and explain that cinemas contribute to the economy through taxes and employment. This would make your arguments clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast in the opening sentence and examples introduced with “For example.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. In “People buy monthly subcription in low budget and use all family,” the article, preposition and sentence structure are problematic; “Many people sit together at same time and same place” also needs articles. There are agreement and form errors in phrases such as “some others people” and “theatres and cinema.” The conclusion contains a fragment-like construction: “Many people go there sit togethere and watch movies.” Practise accurate sentence patterns, especially articles, plurals, verb forms and punctuation, before adding more complex structures.
