Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is seen that, in the modern digital era, theatres and cinemas entertainment reduced in a great extend. This is because people easily get then on online, but this development has ecomonic and cultural consequences, as for making a movie, the director needs to invest a huge amount and we also lose our traditions. I personally support to keep alive those pleasure.
On one hand, in this current internet world, people could easily a movie, drama or short video on online, which they could not do some years ago, people must need to go to cinemas or theatres. As a result, they can minimise their expences. This development has a greater impact. the directors will not invest money and time for making a prominent flim, culture will be poorer, and the government will lose revinue.
On the other hand, if people enjoy cinema or theatre regularly before as digitat age, it will enrich our culcure. Moreover, this service employed a huge numver of people.
In conclusion, it can be said that, although people can easily entertain on online, they should go to cinema and theatre for culture.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the two broad positions: online entertainment is convenient and can reduce costs, while cinemas and theatres may support culture, employment, and investment. Your opinion is also present in “I personally support to keep alive those pleasure” and the conclusion’s call to attend venues. However, the discussion is only partial: the economic and cultural claims are mostly asserted rather than explained, and the view in favour of online entertainment receives little development beyond convenience. The response also does not meet the stated 250-word minimum, which limits how fully you can address both views and support your position. Develop each side with a clear reason and a specific example, then explain why your own view is stronger.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the two perspectives. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from online access to lower expenses, then to directors, culture, and government revenue without showing how these points connect. The phrase “This development has a greater impact” is also vague, and the conclusion largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the discussion together. Use clearer links between cause and consequence, and organise each paragraph around one main claim supported by explanation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “digital era,” “directors,” “culture,” and “revenue,” and the reader can generally understand your main points. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less precise: “entertainment reduced in a great extend,” “get then on online,” “prominent flim,” and “employed a huge numver.” Some expressions are also repeated, particularly “online” and “culture.” Build a more accurate range for discussing access, cultural value, and economic effects, and check spelling carefully. More natural phrasing would help your ideas sound clearer and more academic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure beginning “if people enjoy cinema or theatre regularly.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction and verb forms sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “people easily get then on online” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “the directors will not invest money and time for making” has an awkward verb pattern. The opening sentence also has an unclear subject and verb relationship. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, tense consistency, and clause boundaries. Greater accuracy in these basic patterns would make your argument easier to understand.
