Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both sides of the question: the first body paragraph explains the convenience and lower cost of watching at home, while the next argues that cinemas and theatres contribute economically and culturally. Your conclusion also gives a preference for keeping these venues. However, the discussion remains general and the position is not fully clear: you first say people do not go, then conclude that everyone should go, without explaining how these views can be reconciled. Claims such as venues helping a country become “known worldwide” need a specific explanation or example. Develop each main point with a clear reason and relevant illustration, and state your own view consistently from the introduction onwards.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. “On the other hand” signals the shift to the opposing argument, and “In conclusion” marks the ending. However, progression within paragraphs is often weak: several sentences repeat that people are busy or that venues help a country, rather than extending the point. Connectors such as “Because” begin sentence fragments, and repeated “But” and “So” make the linking mechanical. Some references, including “it” and “there,” are unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it, using more precise links between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the basic topic, using relevant terms such as “economically,” “culturally,” “financially,” and “development.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “important,” “help,” and “country.” Some combinations are unnatural or unclear, such as “its make impact,” “go in cinemas,” and “country good future,” which can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Aim for more precise collocations and vary repeated wording—for example, describe how venues “support local employment” or “preserve cultural traditions.” Check spelling and word forms carefully, including “busy” and “nowadays,” so that errors do not distract from your ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple sentences and longer clauses, for example, “They can watch whatever they want” and “When people go to the cinemas and theatres, its help financially.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation. Examples include “Because they have a mobile phone” as a fragment, “they has a phone,” “it help a country,” and “they had not enough time.” Commas and full stops are also often missing or misplaced, making some sentences difficult to follow. Practise building complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement and consistent tense, and use a few controlled complex structures rather than joining ideas with repeated “but” or “because.”
