Student answer (Band 4.5)
In todays rapidly changing world, that in the digital agr, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online has become a widely discussed issue. While some people argue that theatres and cinemas are no longer important for people which the reason is internet, Other believe that threatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. In my opinion, Its true that threatres and cinemas are not important for people, mainly becouse it can have significant effects on becouse they watch all entertainment in the laptops, mobiles, and LED,s through internet and secondly new generation highly prefer live concerts.
To begin with, One of the most compelling reasons to support this view is all entertainment watch throug internet. This is because new generation is prefer watch all entertainment speedly and alone because people those not like gethering. It can lead to promote the movies and dramas acording to new generation For instance, that play bands and hollywood movies. therefore it is reasonable to conclude that threatress and cinemas not running acording to new generation.
Furthermore, another significsnt consideration is not play the live concerts in the cinemas and threatress. In the particular new generation is very fast they want live shows, horror movies and some unrealistic stories that not play in our ciemas and threatres can influence ceconomy in several ways.
In conclusion, although threatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally may have certain advantages, I storngly belive that threatres and cinemas are not important for people is more convining the main reason are internet availbility for every person and second reason new genration is bold not liking old verssions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear opinion that theatres and cinemas are no longer important, and you give reasons involving online entertainment and younger people’s preferences. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the case for their continuing economic and cultural importance is only briefly acknowledged in the conclusion, not explained or supported. Several points are also unclear or insufficiently developed, such as the claim that cinemas do not show the content younger people want. The response is 247 words, below the required 250; the 35 words copied from the prompt are excluded from the count. To improve, explain each side with a specific example and develop your own position with clearer reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to organise the discussion. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the body paragraphs do not clearly distinguish the two views, and several sentences contain ideas whose connection is unclear. For example, the point about online viewing moves abruptly to people disliking gatherings and then to promoting movies and dramas. The second body paragraph also combines live concerts, younger people’s preferences and economic effects without explaining their links. Use one paragraph for each view, organise each around a clear main point, and use linking phrases to show cause, contrast and example accurately.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “economically and culturally,” “live concerts” and “internet availability,” and you use some topic-specific terms such as “Hollywood movies.” However, the range is basic and repetitive, with “important,” “new generation” and “entertainment” recurring, while frequent spelling errors make the wording less clear: “threatres,” “becouse,” “acording” and “availbility.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “watch all entertainment speedly” and “new generation is bold.” Build a more precise range for discussing access, audience preferences and cultural value, and check spelling carefully. More accurate collocations would help communicate your ideas without changing their meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic connectors to express reasons and contrast, but control of sentence structure is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in phrases such as “new generation is prefer” and “cinemas not running,” while “people those not like gethering” has an unclear relative-clause structure. The opening sentence is also difficult to parse because the main clause is not clearly formed, and the final sentence joins several ideas without a complete, controlled structure. Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, including “Other believe” and “therefore.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “although” and “which.”
