Student answer (Band 5.5)
In modern days of life few people think that significance of cinemas and theaters faces a decline because now people can get entertained online by anything they want to watch. on the other hand some of them says that both of cinemas and theaters have their own significance especially by economic and cultural point of view. In the upcoming paragraphs we will discuss both school of thoughts.
In recent era technology made adorable changes in our lives nowadays our life is pretty much easier as compared to the recent past . when we need to go the shopping centers for shopping , to the cinema halls and theaters for entertainment . but now these things are just a click away you can watch any movie drama or whatever you wanna watch online just by one click while sitting at your own comfortable place e.g home or e.t.c. hats off to our brilliant tech experts for bringing that much advancement in our lives. it is true that due to these advancements the importance of cinema halls and theaters is facing a decline as compared to the recent past .
But its a fact that cinema halls and theaters are still important and plays a crucial role in economy , however it also keeps our new generation [The GenZ] close to our culture . getting entertained in cinema halls or theaters with bunch of other people is more exciting then watching something online alone at home.
In my point of view both school of thoughts are right. but if a person has enough time and reserouces he should go to the theaters because its much more fascinating then getting entertained at home.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a personal opinion, so the response is relevant to the task. The online-entertainment argument is illustrated with the convenience of watching at home, while the case for venues mentions economic contribution, cultural connection and the shared experience. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than explained: for example, you do not show how cinemas support the economy or how attending a theatre helps preserve culture. Your conclusion says both views are right, then recommends going to theatres when time and resources allow, but the basis for this position remains limited. Develop each side with a specific explanation or example, and make your own judgement more decisive and consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has an introduction, separate discussion of the two views, and a concluding opinion, giving it a coherent overall arrangement. The contrast signalled by “on the other hand” and “But” helps readers follow the shift between arguments. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes loose: the first body paragraph moves from shopping to entertainment and then to praise for technology without a clear argumentative link. The opening also announces that the views will be discussed rather than establishing a focused line of argument. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then connect supporting explanations directly to it. More controlled paragraphing and clearer links between claims would make the organisation easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including terms such as “significance,” “advancements,” “crucial role,” and “cultural.” There are also attempts at more expressive language, such as “a click away” and “fascinating.” However, several choices are inaccurate or informal for an academic essay, including “adorable changes,” “hats off to our brilliant tech experts,” and “wanna.” Repetition of “cinema halls and theaters” and “entertained” also limits range. Spelling and word-form errors such as “reserouces” and “school of thoughts” are noticeable. Aim for precise, neutral phrasing and vary key terms—for example, use “technological advances” and “venues” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, control is uneven, particularly in longer sentences and clauses. Examples include “some of them says,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “cinema halls and theaters … plays,” which also needs plural agreement. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are often unreliable: “In recent era technology made…” runs into a sequence of clauses, while several sentences begin with lowercase letters or use unnecessary spaces before punctuation. Articles and verb forms are also inconsistent, as in “when we need to go the shopping centers.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when their structure is secure.
