Student answer (Band 5.0)
Over recent years, online entertainment has become hotly debated issue in society. Some people argue that in the modern era, cinemas are not important because mostly people can watch all entertainment through online, while others believe that it is still important for both economically and culturally. I firmly believe that cinemas are important in society because we can watch movies with family and spent time with together. In this essay, i will examine both prespectives before presenting my own opinion on this matter.
On the one hand, some people believe that in the modern era, theatres and cinemas are not crucial for individuals because mostly people can watch all videos, movies through online platforms that is a better option. One of the main reason is internet access. This is evident for a fact is that people could be accessed internet in a minutes that is why they can easily watch every movies at home. Various studies have shown that online entertainment can leads to improvements through internet.
On the other hand, others argue that theatres and cinemas are important both economically and culturally because it is a more effective approach. This is a particularly evident in situations where people can spent a quality time with family, when they watch something entertainment in cinemas and theatres.
In conclusion, although some people argue that cinemas and theatres are not crucial in the modern era offers important benefits, while others argue that they are much important in culturally and ecnomically. After considering both prespectives, i strongly believe that mosty people feel stressed after a long-working days so it is best activity for everyone to spent special time with family is ultimately better approach because it is positive impact on individuals and society as a whole.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You present a clear opinion that cinemas remain important, and you attempt to discuss both views. However, the discussion is only partial: the online-entertainment paragraph mainly says that internet access lets people watch at home, without explaining why this makes cinemas less important or giving a specific example. The opposing view is also narrowly developed, focusing on family time rather than the economic and cultural value named in the prompt. Your conclusion repeats your preference but does not resolve the economic and cultural points. To strengthen the response, explain each side with relevant reasons and examples—for instance, online convenience and lower cost, alongside employment, local business, shared cultural experiences, or live performance traditions—and keep your position clear throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help identify the two positions. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited: several claims are repeated, and the supporting explanation does not consistently follow from the topic sentence. The sentence about studies and online entertainment, for example, is not clearly connected to the point about internet access. The conclusion also combines contrasting ideas in a confusing way. Use a clearer sequence in each body paragraph—main claim, explanation, and example—and make pronouns and references precise. Avoid relying on formulaic transitions alone; logical links between the ideas should carry the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “online platforms,” “economically,” “culturally,” and “quality time,” so the reader can identify the topic and your main position. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “watch every movies,” “watch something entertainment,” and “much important.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. There are also spelling and form errors, including “prespectives,” “ecnonomically,” and “mosty.” Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing convenience, cultural value, and economic effects, and check whether nouns, adjectives, and adverbs fit their sentence roles. The suggestions below offer practical alternatives.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “because” and “when,” but control is inconsistent. Errors occur frequently in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction: “a hotly debated issue,” “people can be accessed internet,” and “it is best activity” illustrate recurring problems. The final sentence is especially difficult to follow because its clauses are joined without a clear grammatical structure. Capitalisation of “I” is also inconsistent. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add a subordinate clause only when its relationship is clear. Review subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb patterns, and proofread punctuation so that long sentences do not become run-ons.
