Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's world binge watching webseries and movies online on a streaming platform is a growing trend in indivisuals. Some people find it comfortable watching it at home. Whereas, few might think that theaters and cinemas are important both economically and culturally.
Firstly, in this digital age people prefer watching the content they want at their house which saves their time and money as subscription to these streaming platforms are cheaper than the cinemas and theaters. Furthermore, it saves all the traveling time to these places. For instance, a new film is airing in cinemas and on the streaming app. Since the subscription costs me 200 rupees a month where i can watch all the latest content i would not prefer going to the cinemas where it's gonna cost me 300 rupees for just 1 movie. In addition it will also save my travelling time and fuel.
On the other hand, Several indivisuals oppose that theaters and cinemas are crucial economically and culturally. Talking about culture, theaters is the best way to spread knowledge about our history and culture as live performances and knowledge used from books helps understand our culture and past better. Moreover, cinemas charge taxes which can help contribute our country's budget. For example, elder people should take children to theaters to learn about our history and culture and go to cinemas to experience movies on a wide screen.
To encapsulate, each indivisual has it's own interest few might prefer watching all the entertainment online. Whereas, others might enjoy theaters and cinemas. In my opinion, people should visit the theaters for cultural programs and the government should reduce the ticket prices to make it affordable for everyone as watching a movie in theater is a wild experience.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You discuss both perspectives and give a clear personal view: online viewing is convenient and cheaper, while theatres and cinemas offer cultural value and a shared big-screen experience. The examples about subscription and ticket costs make the first argument concrete, and the point about live performances connects to culture. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the economic importance of cinemas is asserted through tax contributions but not explained, and the cultural argument would benefit from a clearer example of how theatres preserve or communicate heritage. Your conclusion recommends cultural visits and lower ticket prices, but could state more directly how this balances the convenience of online entertainment with the continuing importance of venues. Develop these points further to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a concluding opinion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “To encapsulate” help readers follow the discussion, and the examples generally appear beside the points they support. This coherent arrangement meets the lower-band expectations, while the clear paragraph progression shows some features of stronger organisation. However, some linking is mechanical, and “Whereas” is used as a sentence fragment in the introduction and conclusion. The final paragraph also repeats the two sides rather than synthesising them fully. Use a wider range of natural links and make references between ideas more precise—for example, connect the tax point explicitly to employment or public revenue.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “streaming platform,” “subscription,” “live performances,” and “ticket prices.” Some choices show an attempt to be specific, such as comparing monthly subscription costs with a cinema ticket. However, several noticeable spelling and word-choice problems reduce precision: “indivisuals” is misspelled, “airing” is not the most natural choice for a film’s cinema release, and “wild experience” does not convey the intended meaning clearly. Phrases such as “knowledge used from books” and “contribute our country's budget” are also awkward collocations. Build accuracy with common topic collocations before reaching for more elaborate wording, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “Since the subscription costs me…” and a relative clause in “where I can watch all the latest content.” Most of the meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “theaters is” has subject–verb disagreement, and “each individual has it's own interest” has an incorrect possessive form and agreement. The opening “Whereas, few might think…” is not a complete sentence, while “In addition it will also save…” has unclear reference and punctuation. Improve control of sentence boundaries, agreement, and pronouns, and proofread for capitalisation such as “I” and sentence-initial “Several.” More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen the response.
