Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this period of modernization, many citizens believe that theatres and cinema halls are not anymore precious due to advancements in technology, whereas as others argue that both of them have have still economic and cultural view. Although both statement have their merits,I strongly support former view.
In many developed and developing countries, online media platfroms have become highly popular due to its flexibilityl; therefore residents can watch any types of content, whenever they want. In contrast to cinemas, people can access several types of content in online, while cinamas give only single content in a single time. At the same time, people can watch movies and foreign contents free on youtube and others platfroms, while theatres need entrance fee. For example, recent survey of BD film production, where they mentioned, the selling of tickets in dhaka cinema hall reduced dramatically over the last decade because of online media platfroms. Moreover, many would agree that contemporary society has nerarly transcended its traditional boundouries because of advencement in digital platfroms and entertainment in online is not only flexible but also cost sufficient.
On the other hand, there are many reasons why people believe that theatres and movie halls are still worthable. Perhaps the main reason is to protect national culture and tradition because cinemas always represents a countries own culture to the world. The best way to learn any nations culture, would be the watcing their cinemas and dramas. Apart from this, they demonstrste unparalled brnefits for people's lives permeating and enhancing almost every conceivable sector of the society by protarting the real senario. For example, when audience watch movies and dramas physically, it boast up the national economy and income, later which are used for the development of citizens.
In conclusion, it is clear that fostering the side of online entertainment platforms is beneficial, therefore it is not only time saving and flexible but also econimical. From economic, social, and national perspective, we cannot neglate the value of cinemas and theatres.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both perspectives and state a position, saying you “strongly support” online entertainment, while also acknowledging cinemas’ cultural and economic value. Relevant points include online access being flexible and cheaper, and cinema attendance contributing to national income. However, the position becomes unclear in the conclusion: you call online platforms beneficial but then say cinemas cannot be neglected, without explaining how these views fit together or which side you ultimately favour. Several claims also need fuller explanation—for example, how films represent national culture and how cinema revenue benefits citizens. Develop each main point with a clear explanation and a specific, credible example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “In contrast,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and some linking is mechanical. The first body paragraph moves from flexibility to content choice, cost, a survey, and broad claims about digital society without clearly showing how each point builds on the previous one. The conclusion also introduces a mixed position rather than resolving the argument. Use clearer topic sentences, group related reasons, and make references such as “both of them” and “the former view” more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “advancements in technology,” “national culture,” “flexibility,” and “national economy.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make ideas harder to understand: “not anymore precious,” “cost sufficient,” “worthable,” and “boast up” are not natural in these contexts. There are also repeated misspellings, including “platfroms,” “cinamas,” and “econimical.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “no longer relevant,” “cost-effective,” and “boost the economy.” Proofreading spelling and checking unfamiliar expressions would make your vocabulary more reliable.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “Although” and a reason clause with “because.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, errors recur in sentence construction and grammatical control. For example, “Although both statement have their merits” has a number-agreement problem, while “people can watch any types of content” and “cinemas always represents” show inconsistent agreement and number. The opening also contains a duplicated verb in “have have still,” and the sentence beginning “For example, recent survey…” is not formed as a complete, clear sentence. Review subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, then check each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
