Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views and give a personal opinion, so the response is relevant to the task. The online-entertainment paragraph identifies convenience, affordability and saving time, while the opposing paragraph mentions the large screen, sound quality, economic benefits and cultural activities. However, these points are mostly listed rather than explained or supported with specific examples. Your position is also not fully clear: “I have both reviews” does not state your view, and the conclusion says both options are important without explaining which view you favour or why. The response is below the required 250 words, which limits how fully you can develop the discussion. Extend each main idea with explanation or an example and state your opinion clearly throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The repeated phrase “On the other hand” helps signal a change of viewpoint, and “Firstly” introduces supporting points. However, the same transition is used for both sides, so the relationship between ideas is not always clear, and the paragraphs read mainly as lists. Some sentences are difficult to connect, such as “It is very beneficial for economically because people should open new cafes and restaurants and importat for cultural like music darama.” Use clearer links to show cause and effect, and organise each paragraph around one main idea followed by its explanation or example. A more direct conclusion would also give the discussion a stronger sense of progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “convenient,” “large screen,” “high quality sound,” “economically” and “culturally.” These choices help communicate the main points, but the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “watch shows on online,” “both reviews,” “rise up day by day” and “importat for cultural like music darama.” There are also frequent spelling errors, such as “peole,” “expencive” and “Youtude.” Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling carefully. For instance, describe online services as “streaming platforms” and explain that cinemas “contribute to the local economy” or “provide a shared cultural experience.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use basic structures to compare the two views, but most sentences rely on simple patterns, and errors are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “People can watch shows comfortably at home it save time” joins two clauses without correct punctuation and has an incorrect verb form. In “online entertainment are more convenient,” the subject and verb do not agree, while “there is large screen” is missing an article. The opening sentence also contains several grammatical problems that make the position difficult to understand. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries first, then add controlled complex sentences using “because,” “although” or “which.”
