Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, theatrs and chinemas have become an essential medium of watching entertainment. Some people argue that it is crucial for both economically and culturally, while others oppose this due to digital platform usages. In my opinion, theatres and chinemas offers huge screen which is qquite fun to watch rather then in a small screen.
On the one hand, theatres can play an important role in overall financial and cultural preservations. This is because people get to see on large screen by paying certain amount of money for tickets according to their schedules. For instance, audience could experience the diverse culture, tradition through the actors performances in free spacem, while having snacks and drinks.Furthermore, student take this event as entertainment in this flim reviewing process they can learn in relaxing way, which eventually develop curiousity in children. Moreover, chinemas also keeps viewer entertained and relaxed which can reduce stress after hectic schedule before it gets release in other platforms.
On the other hand, critics argue that cinemas are no longer needed as they can watch it online. It is true that we can get to watch uploaded movies in different platforms such as Youtube, however you cannot enoy it on the same day as theatres provide. For instance, salar movie was released on cinema halls but it took time for that flim to be uploaded in youtube.Because of this delay viewer can get frustated.Similarly, it depends on person free time and their locations as it might takes time to travel cinemas halls. This is the main reason they choose to stay at home and watched it on their mobile phones through social medias.
In conclusion, theatres and online platforms both are essential for viewers. As both medium act as an entertainment, which also passess the different culture and contribute in economy.People who love to watch movies in big screen will continue to watch in cinemas.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a personal preference, especially by contrasting the cinema’s large-screen experience with the convenience of watching at home. The examples about a film’s delayed online release and travel time are relevant. However, the discussion of the economic and cultural importance of cinemas is not fully explained: the point about ticket payments is mentioned, but its wider economic effect is not developed, and the cultural example is difficult to follow. Your conclusion says both options are essential, while the introduction mainly supports cinemas, so your position could be clearer and more consistent. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation and make your final opinion explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the overall direction. Within paragraphs, however, several points are joined in a way that makes their relationships unclear. For example, the sentence about students, film reviewing, and curiosity introduces several ideas without showing how they connect. Some linking is also mechanical, with repeated “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” and “Similarly.” Organise each body paragraph around one central claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point; use pronouns and transitions that make references clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “digital platforms,” “large screen,” “tickets,” and “stress,” and you attempt more specific expressions such as “cultural preservation.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand. Phrases such as “free spacem,” “flim reviewing process,” and “passess the different culture” do not communicate your intended meaning clearly. There are also repeated spelling errors, including “theatrs,” “chinemas,” and “enoy.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “watch a film on the big screen,” “preserve cultural traditions,” and “release a film online.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise expressions would make your ideas easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning “This is because” and “as it might…,” but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “theatres and chinemas offers” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “it might takes time” uses an incorrect verb form. In “student take this event,” the singular noun and verb do not agree, and “people … watched it” shifts tense unnecessarily in a general statement. Sentence boundaries and spacing after commas are also inconsistent. Practise checking agreement, verb forms, and articles, and keep longer sentences focused on one clear relationship between ideas.
