Student answer (Band 6.0)
Most peope argue that in this advanced digital era, there is no need to visit theartre and cinemas for entertainment purpose as people can watch all entertaining stuff at home such as movies, web series and dramas using online platforms. other believes that theatre and cinemas have cultural significance and supporting country by economically. In my opinion, although people can relax and enjoy by watching online stuff at home, however theatres and cenimas are still providing a source of physical entertainment outside home.
The supporter of online platfoms believe that watching online stuff in this contemporary era is more convinient, which save people time and money. People prefer to watch movies at home so they do not have to spend much money on buying tickets for enjoying any specific movie. Moreever, enjoying movies at home save their time and energy as they do not have to travel a long distance to enjoy a movies. Additionally, watching movies online at home provide the facility of flexibilty they can pause the movie or skip the part which the do not like. For instance, they prepare different food items at home which they can enjoy with their family members along watching movies.
On the other side some people are motivating people to visit theatres and cimemas for entertainment purpose which is part of cultural significane and play an important role in boosting country economy. These entertainment sources are still very crucial for a country as they generate huge amount of revenue by selling their tickets and pay tax to authorities which helps to increase gross domestic production. In addition, these outdoor cimenas are providing vast range of facilities for their visiters as they can enjoy watching movies on big screen with 8k graphics. For example, cinemas also provide foods products, therefore people can enjoy meal with their partner by watching movie.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that threates and cenimas are essential for every country, despite having a vast range of online facilities for entertainment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both views and state a clear opinion: online viewing is convenient, but cinemas remain valuable as a source of entertainment outside the home. The two body paragraphs give relevant reasons, including saving time and money, pausing a film, ticket revenue, taxes, and the large-screen experience. This covers the task well. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the link between cinema taxes and increasing gross domestic product needs clearer development, and the cultural importance of theatres is mentioned but not illustrated with a specific cultural example. Your conclusion restates your position, though it could more directly weigh the two sides. More developed support would make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for online entertainment, one for cinemas, and a conclusion. This makes the discussion easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the other side” help distinguish the viewpoints. The progression within paragraphs is generally logical, moving from a claim to supporting reasons and examples. Some linking is mechanical or awkward, however, as in “Moreever” and “In addition,” and the opening sentence of the cinema paragraph does not connect smoothly to the claim that follows. The final paragraph is very brief and mostly repeats the opinion. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make the relationship between each example and its main point more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to discuss convenience and cinema economics, including “online platforms,” “flexibility,” “revenue,” and “gross domestic production.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “cultural significance.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural collocations are noticeable throughout, for example “peope,” “theartre,” “watching online stuff,” and “supporting country by economically.” Repetition of “movies” and “entertainment” also limits flexibility. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding the main ideas, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Proofread spelling carefully and choose more idiomatic expressions, such as “watch films online” and “contribute to the national economy.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a concession in the introduction and clauses explaining why people choose online viewing. The main message is generally understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “watching movies at home save their time” needs subject–verb agreement, while “they can pause the movie or skip the part which the do not like” contains an incorrect pronoun form. The opening sentence also combines “although” and “however” in a way that makes the structure faulty. Some sentences, such as the one about ticket revenue and taxes, are difficult to follow because their grammatical relationships are unclear. Practise accurate complex clauses and check agreement and sentence boundaries.
