Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present a clear view in the introduction: online entertainment means people do not need to visit venues. You also include both sides, with online access and convenience on one side and economic and cultural value on the other. However, the discussion is only partial: the cultural importance is mentioned but not explained, and the economic point is mostly limited to ticket sales and tax. The examples about the UK and Bangladesh are brief and do not show clearly how these claims work. Your conclusion repeats the two positions but does not restate your own view, which makes your position less clear by the end. Develop each main idea with a specific explanation or example, and make your opinion explicit in the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the contrast, and the ideas within each paragraph generally relate to its main point. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, with repeated links such as “For these reason(s),” and some references are unclear, for example “it” in the paragraph about venues and the economy. The conclusion also repeats the opening rather than bringing the discussion together. Use a wider range of linking expressions, make pronoun references precise, and connect each example directly to the claim it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “online platforms,” “entertainment venues,” “tickets,” “tax money,” and “culture.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make the writing less natural, such as “modern area,” “not beneficial,” “particular sectors,” and “economic may strong.” Repetition of “entertainment,” “people,” and “for these reason(s)” also restricts flexibility. Aim to learn common topic collocations and use more precise terms—for example, distinguish between economic benefits, cultural significance, and access to streaming services. Check word forms and spelling as well, since errors such as “theaters” and “chosen” in context can distract from your meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional phrasing such as “if people need any types of activities” and a contrast between the two views. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “individuals using online platforms,” “they do not need go,” “they can chosen,” and “government earn.” Punctuation is also unreliable, particularly the commas placed after “think that” and before “while.” Practise building accurate clauses with a clear subject and finite verb, then check agreement and verb patterns. More reliable control of these structures would make your ideas easier to follow.
