Student answer (Band 5.0)
Cinemas and theaters play important role in our society. They play an important role for refreshing the people. In digital age, they are no longer important but some said they are still important. I have mixed opinion about that and I can discussed my both views in detail.
On the one hand, cinemas and theatres are no loger important in our culture. Firstly, the can not be seen in the future because in future the people can become more busy with their jobs or with family so they have no time to go to cinema for watching movies. Secondly, in becoming years the technology become more modernest and the everyone have LED in their homes so, they can make a room like cinemas and that is the other reason for the finishing of theaters and cinemas. It can be no longer or changed in future like other things e.g televisions and other machines like washing machine is converted into automatic machines.
However, some people said that cinemas and theaters are still ipmortant in both cultural and economical aspect. Some people can not afford the LED's at home so, for those people they are necessary in future. Also, it is the hobby of some youngers to watching movie in the cinema.
In my opinion, it is necessary because it give more refreshement as compared to watching movie at home.Watching movie at home is very different from watching in cinema because in cinema we can never talk to eachother but at home we cn talk to our family members.
To conclude, watching movie at cinema is more entertaining as compare to watching movie at home.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and give a personal position, so the response is relevant to the task. The discussion of online entertainment is supported by the idea that people may be busy and can create a cinema-like room at home. However, these points are speculative and not fully explained, while the opposing view is supported mainly by affordability and young people’s enjoyment. The economic and cultural importance named in the prompt is not really explored: for example, you could explain how cinemas provide jobs or how theatres preserve live performance and shared cultural experiences. Your opinion is also mixed at first and becomes clearer only near the end. Develop each side with specific reasons and examples, and state your position consistently.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph beginning “On the one hand,” a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the two views. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined mechanically with “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Also,” and “because.” The sentence about cinemas being “no longer or changed in future” and the comparison with washing machines is difficult to follow and does not connect clearly to the main point. Some references, such as “that” in the introduction, are vague. Organise each paragraph around one clear claim, explain it in sequence, and use linking phrases only where they show a precise relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “digital age,” “technology,” “economical,” and “entertaining,” and the reader can generally understand your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. For instance, “refreshing the people” does not naturally express the enjoyment or relaxation you mean, and “the finishing of theaters” is unclear. There are also spelling errors such as “loger” and “ipmortant,” alongside repeated use of “important” and “watching movie.” Aim for more precise expressions for the task, such as describing cinemas as a shared social experience or discussing their contribution to local employment, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because” and “so,” but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors occur in verb forms and agreement: “I can discussed,” “the technology become,” and “it give” should use appropriate verb forms. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “play important role” and “watching movie.” Some sentence boundaries and punctuation are missing, particularly around “cinemas. It” and “home.Watching,” which make the text harder to read. These recurring errors sometimes obscure relationships between ideas. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with one clear subordinate clause and check agreement, articles, and punctuation.
