Cinema is now a maor controversial topic and many people thinks different about the existence of cinemas. Many argues that in this modern era , going to cinemas is not worthy due to technological advancements as it can save both money and time, and its more convient to watch on your phone. While other argues that its hold its original position as it can effecative both eonomically and culturally. From my perspective its more convenient to watch online instead of moving to cinemas.
In this modern era, everyone is stucked in their ofiice and home strict routines. Due to that, it is more convenient to watch movies and films in your phone and technological advancements made it easier to watch movies and shows online as it can save the money and time which can be consumed through transportation.Aanother reason is that it can save people from traffic congestion as many people can watch online. For examle, a person will save alot of time and money watching online as compare to a person who travels many kilometers to watch in cinema.
On the other hand, it is argued that cinemas can be beneficial in both economical and cultural aspect. As it can generate income which can play a role in making film industry stable and modern. Furthermore, this income can be used in buying new cameras setup and extablishing skilfull writers. Cinemas can also work in cultural aspects as it can represent cultural heritage and customs.
In conclusion, cinemas can be important both economically and culturaly, although watching online can save both time and money and it is more convenient to watch in your home and a person will feel more comfortable to watch in their room as compare to watching in cinema.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a preference for online viewing in the introduction, then explain convenience and savings before acknowledging cinemas’ economic and cultural roles. This gives the response a relevant foundation. However, the position is not fully consistent: the conclusion begins by recognising cinemas’ importance but ends by favouring online viewing, without clearly weighing the two sides. The economic and cultural points are also brief; for example, the claim that cinema income supports the film industry is not explained with a specific example, and cultural value is only mentioned. Develop each side with clearer reasoning and make your final judgement explicit to strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting online viewing, a contrasting paragraph about cinemas, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, with several points joined by “and” or “as” rather than clearly showing how one idea leads to the next. The example about saving time and money largely repeats the preceding point instead of extending it. Some references are also unclear, such as “this income” before the source of the income has been fully established. Use clearer links between claims and explanations, and ensure each paragraph develops one central idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “technological advancements,” “traffic congestion,” “film industry,” and “cultural heritage.” These expressions help communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make the writing less precise, as in “not worthy,” “stucked,” “effectative,” and “extablishing skilfull writers.” Repetition of “convenient,” “save,” and “watch” also restricts variety. Aim to use accurate phrases for the intended meaning—for example, describe cinema-going as “less convenient” rather than “not worthy”—and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for economic and cultural benefits would help you explain those arguments more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple and longer sentences, including a reason clause beginning “as it can save both money and time” and a contrast introduced by “although” in the conclusion. However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur in both sentence structure and basic agreement. For example, “many people thinks” should use a plural verb, while “Many argues” also has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The opening sentence of the second paragraph contains a fragment-like construction (“Due to that, it is more convenient…”), and the long sentence beginning “Furthermore” is difficult to follow because clauses are joined without clear punctuation. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build complex sentences with clear clause boundaries.
