Student answer (Band 5.5)
Digital entertainment platforms get a lot of boost in recent past which makes people think that there is no need of cinema and theatres and vise versa. In this essay we will discuss both views and at the end, I will give my opinion on it.
Digital platforms really made life much easier for the people who enjoys watching the art of filmography and web series. They can watch them anywhere ,anytime without spending too much money on buying tickets. For Instance, Netflix and other digital platforms provide tremendous amount of movies and webseries at your device. This makes life of such individuals much easier as they find digital platforms much convenience than theatres and cinemas.
On the other hand, some citizens believe that cinemas and theatres are still relevant in today's world. They give there opinion by giving reasons that these things will eventually boost our economy and it will help us to show our culture to local audience. For example, when you bought tickets for any movie or for any theatre it will eventually assist our country economy and by watching these things live it will help us engage with people and it will benefit us because of these we can be in touch with our culture.
From my perspective, both of these platforms have there own pros and cons. Digital platforms are best for those people who enjoys being at home and they prefer convinence rather then watching movies in cinema hall.
While, cinemas and theatres are better for extrovert people who loves going out with family and friends.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the discussion and give a personal view, so the response is relevant to the task. The online-entertainment paragraph explains convenience and lower cost, while the opposing paragraph mentions economic and cultural benefits. However, these ideas are only briefly stated: the economic claim that ticket purchases “assist our country economy” needs a clearer explanation, and the cultural benefit would be stronger with a specific example. Your opinion is also somewhat general, presenting advantages for different types of people rather than clearly deciding how important cinemas and theatres remain overall. Develop each main point with explanation or an example, and state a more definite position to address all parts more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a concluding personal perspective. Transitions such as “On the other hand” help signal the change in viewpoint, and the ideas are generally easy to follow. However, the opening promises that you will give your opinion “at the end,” while the conclusion mainly repeats that both options suit different people, so the progression towards a clear final judgement is limited. Some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “For example” and “it will help.” Improve cohesion by connecting each explanation directly to its main claim and using clearer referencing, while keeping the paragraph structure.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “digital platforms,” “buying tickets,” “economy,” and “culture,” and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “web series” and “engage with people.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive: “get a lot of boost,” “tremendous amount of movies,” and “assist our country economy” do not sound natural. Spelling and word-form errors such as “vise versa,” “convinence,” and “there” for “their” also reduce control. Build a wider set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocation before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the main ideas can usually be understood. However, control is inconsistent, especially in longer sentences. For example, “people who enjoys” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “when you bought tickets … it will eventually assist” shifts awkwardly between past and future forms. There are also errors with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “at your device” and the comma splice in “While, cinemas and theatres are better…”. The response relies heavily on basic sentence patterns, with limited accurate complex structures. Practise agreement, consistent tense, articles, and punctuation, then use subordinate clauses to extend ideas while keeping each sentence grammatically controlled.
