Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowdays Few people believe in the digital era,Theatres and cinemas are losing there value as people can now entertain themselves by watching them online. While Other debate that theaters and cinemas are still critical for both economically and culturally.I firmly believe they both have there own benefits and drawbacks however i think people ought to go in theatres and to make envolvement in countries economy and culture.
First and formost, the People perfer using digital platforms like amazon prime and netflix to watch movies or series. Most people use these platforms to entertain themselves while not wasting their time in the theaters or cinemas queues. For instance if a person is drain from the week days activites like work and other stuff so on the week day he will perfer quiet and peaceful time at home Rather than going to crowded place.
Secondly the option to select movies of there choice. On digital platforms you have a option to select variety of shows of your choice or you can skip the show which you do not like. This gives you sense of control like Few days back i am watch a netflix show which i dont like so i just end the show and started watching another show.As a result it gives me more freedom.
However,This digital era has a negative impact on the live shows and cinemas. If most of the public prefer watching shows online than it causes negative impact on countries economy and other. Most of the cinemas are not able to sustain themselves as there will be no bussiness. For instance cinemas are opportunity for the people to engage with each other and with cinemas other bussiness are also linked like drinks and cafes. As a result a large amount of money is accumulated by the government in the form of tax.Consequently the these things helps government to thrive.
To sum up I firmly believe theaters and cinemas are important for countries growth as other bussinesses are also linked with it.Althrough digital media gives you freedom,we can not argue on theaters and cinemas economical and cultural importance

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and state a position: online platforms offer convenience and choice, while cinemas support economic activity, and you conclude that theatres and cinemas remain important. The examples about choosing another Netflix programme and cinema-related cafés help make the points relevant. However, the cultural importance named in the prompt is not really explained, and the economic argument is more developed than the case for online entertainment. Some claims, such as cinemas helping the government “to thrive,” need clearer explanation and support. To strengthen the response, develop both views more evenly and explain specifically how shared live experiences contribute to culture, alongside the economic effects you identify.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs about online viewing, a contrasting paragraph about cinemas, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost,” “Secondly,” “However,” and “To sum up” make the progression easy to follow. At times, though, the links feel mechanical, and some references are unclear—for example, “these things” and “other” do not specify exactly which activities or effects you mean. The two online-viewing paragraphs also overlap in their focus on convenience and personal choice. Grouping related points more tightly, using clearer references, and adding transitions that show the relationship between ideas would make the argument flow more naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “digital platforms,” “economy,” “culturally,” “freedom,” and “sustain themselves.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which can make parts less clear. For example, “make envolvement in countries economy” does not express your intended point naturally, and “a large amount of money is accumulated by the government” is an awkward way to describe tax revenue. Spelling errors such as “perfer,” “bussiness,” and “Althrough” are also noticeable. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If most of the public prefer watching shows online…” and a reason clause beginning “as people can now…”. However, errors in sentence boundaries, verb forms, articles, and agreement occur in several places. For instance, “Few days back i am watch” has an incorrect verb form, while “you have a option” uses the wrong article. Some sentences also run together without appropriate punctuation, making the relationships between clauses harder to follow. Practise forming complete sentences and checking tense, articles, and subject–verb agreement; then use a few controlled complex structures to express cause and contrast more accurately.
