Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people agree with the stetment that theaters and cinemas are not needed because we can watch all type of shows and movies at our comfort place in our house.Others argue, that these are still a main source of earning for a lot of people. In my opinion, first views is correct and i am against the second view . Reasons are discussed below.
Now a days, internet is the main source of amusement for people.People like to watch new tv shows and movies from their home. And its actually a more better experience for those people who do not like crowded places and like to have fun lonly. The reason is that the cinemas become very conjusted during new movie launch. One time, my friends and i decided to watch a movie at a cinema but after reaching there and seeing the crowd we returened back and watched a movie on netflix.
In my country, cinemas do not contribute much in economy reason is that we do not have a big numbers of fully operational cinemas.Cinemas are only functional in big cities like Lahore, Islamabad and karachi. And we do not have a culture in which people are excesivly waiting for the movies to be on aired in cinemas and they will go to watch them.I would never be able to go from my city Sahiwal and drive 200 km to lahore to watch a movie.I would prefer to buy an OTT subscription and watch movie on it
In conclusion, the digital age is changing how people are trying to get entertainment and it is also making people relaxed for the efforts they have to make in order to enjoy a movie.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear view that online entertainment is preferable, and your personal example of leaving a crowded cinema to watch Netflix supports that position. The discussion of limited cinema access in Pakistan also offers a relevant reason why cinemas may have less economic importance in your context. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the opposing case is only briefly introduced as cinemas being “a main source of earning for a lot of people”; it is not explained or supported. Your conclusion restates the effect of digital entertainment but does not clearly weigh the cultural or economic value of theatres and cinemas. Develop both sides with specific reasons and examples, then make your opinion explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The first body paragraph focuses on convenience and crowding, while the next discusses cinema access and economic contribution, so the reader can follow the main topics. However, progression is limited because the second view is not developed into a distinct, balanced argument, and the conclusion adds little synthesis. Linking is sometimes mechanical or unclear: “The reason is that” does not connect smoothly to the preceding point, and “And” begins a sentence where a more deliberate transition would help. Use clearer topic sentences to signal each viewpoint, and connect examples explicitly to the claim they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “digital age,” “amusement,” “crowded places,” “economy,” and “OTT subscription,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “at our comfort place,” “a more better experience,” and “waiting for the movies to be on aired.” Spelling errors, including “stetment,” “conjusted,” and “returened,” are noticeable and can distract the reader. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, describe watching “from the comfort of home,” and use “released in cinemas” rather than “on aired in cinemas.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the personal anecdote is understandable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to process. Examples include “first views is correct,” “people like to watch … from their home,” and “we do not have a big numbers,” which show problems with articles, agreement and number. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: several sentences run together without spaces after full stops, while “In my country, cinemas do not contribute much in economy reason is that…” lacks a clear grammatical connection between its clauses. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build complex sentences with clear conjunctions and punctuation.
