Student answer (Band 4.5)
Some people believe that the digital age theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online others argue that theatres and cinemas are still important this essay represents both views and give my opinion
On the one hand people are giving more importance for cinema and other television programs. They think it will helps to reduce their stress and make them feel happy. At the same time they can spend their time with their family and friends it will help to relax their mind while give a positive energy
On the other hand some people say that digital age theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch their favorite tele dramas , songs and movies on online platforms. so that we do not want to go theatres and waste our valuable time and money. We can watch everything in home peacefully
In my opinion I prefer to watch my favorite movie or tele dramas at home because we do not want to spend more money on theaters and we don’t want to waste our time.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear preference for watching films and dramas at home, and you mention reasons such as saving money and avoiding wasted travel time. However, the response only partially addresses the discussion: the view that theatres and cinemas remain economically and culturally important is not explained, and the opposing view is mostly described as a personal convenience. The opening says the essay will present both views, but the body does not develop the cultural or economic arguments or provide relevant examples. The response contains 144 words, below the required 250; 42 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To improve, explain each side with specific support, then connect your opinion to those arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response into an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a concluding opinion. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers recognise the intended contrast. However, the ideas do not progress clearly: the first body paragraph discusses the benefits of watching entertainment with family, but does not clearly establish why theatres and cinemas remain important. Several sentences run together, particularly in the opening and the first body paragraph, making relationships between ideas unclear. The conclusion repeats the preference without drawing together the discussion. Use one focused paragraph for each view, link each reason to the task, and punctuate sentence boundaries more carefully.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main topic and your preference, using relevant terms such as “digital age,” “online platforms,” “favorite movie,” and “valuable time.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are repetitive or imprecise, including repeated references to “watch” and “important.” Some collocations are unnatural, such as “giving more importance for cinema” and “watch everything in home.” These choices make parts of the argument less clear and less natural, although the general meaning can usually be understood. Build a wider set of topic-specific expressions for cultural and economic value, and learn common combinations such as “place importance on” and “watch at home.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response mainly uses simple sentence patterns, with a few attempts to connect clauses using “because,” “as,” and “while.” These attempts show some range, but control is inconsistent. For example, “They think it will helps” has an incorrect verb form, while “At the same time they can spend their time with their family and friends it will help…” joins clauses without suitable punctuation or a conjunction. The opening also combines several complete ideas without clear sentence boundaries. Articles and plural forms are sometimes missing or inconsistent, as in “go theatres.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation.
