Student answer (Band 5.5)
Entertaimnent is basic feature of life.some people belive that in the present digitalized world, theaters and cinemas do not serve high use as people have access to all entertainment available online contrary to that others argue that theatres and cinemas still have signinficant
importance economically and culturally.
Entertainments available online can be advantagious in saving money including money spent to travel, buy tickets or buy snaks. It will also give people the choice to change what they do not like.It provides variety of content in which the consumer can choose whatever thay want.Age related variety of content can also be listed as one of its benefits.
Theatres and cinemas in contrays costs money and time.It is a good economic activity providing income to companies and workers that have different rolls. It also make socializing easyer and natural. For example people go to cinemas to relax themselves from different aspects of life hussle so they are more open to meeting new people and having conversations. personally i prefer online entertaimnent due to different reasons the first being limitation in availblity of theatres and cinemas around my hometown. In the culture i grew up in, it is mostly considered tabu when a person in my age range goes to cinemas .
In conclusion, the choice between online entertainment and traditional entertainments like theatres and cinemas fully lies on personal choice although the new generation is showing an interest towards onine entertainment than theatres and cinemas. Now a days the economic and cultural importance of therters and cinemas is shifting because of time limitaion people are facing.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the discussion and state a personal preference for online entertainment, supported by your limited access to cinemas and the cultural expectations in your hometown. You also identify relevant benefits of online viewing, such as saving travel and ticket costs, and mention cinemas’ economic and social roles. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the economic point that cinemas provide jobs is asserted rather than explained, and the cultural importance of theatres and cinemas is not clearly explored. Your conclusion says the choice is personal and that traditional venues’ importance is shifting, but it does not clearly resolve which view you support overall. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example and make your position consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, separate discussion of online entertainment and cinemas, a personal view, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some organisation. However, progression between ideas is not always clear. The opening’s “contrary to that” signals a contrast, but the relationship between the two views could be expressed more cleanly, and the personal opinion appears abruptly after the cinema paragraph. Several points are listed in sequence—cost, choice, variety, and age-related content—without transitions that show how they connect. The conclusion also repeats the comparison rather than drawing the argument together. Use clearer topic sentences, link each example directly to its main point, and use a small range of accurate transitions rather than relying on contrast markers.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “digitalized world,” “variety of content,” “economic activity,” and “socializing.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less clear or natural. For example, “theatres and cinemas in contrays costs money” is difficult to interpret, while “different rolls” appears to mean different roles. There are also repeated forms such as “entertainment” and “cinemas,” and misspellings including “Entertaimnent,” “advantagious,” and “availblity.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and choosing precise topic phrases, such as “generate employment” or “cultural significance,” and avoid using “entertainments” as a plural noun.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including “It provides variety of content in which the consumer can choose whatever they want” and the example beginning “For example people go to cinemas…”. However, control is inconsistent, and frequent errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “It also make socializing easyer,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “Theatres and cinemas in contrays costs money and time,” where the sentence structure and agreement are faulty. Missing or misplaced punctuation also affects readability, particularly in the opening and before “personally.” Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation, before adding subordinate clauses or examples.
