Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowdays ott and netflix platforms take severeal place rather than cinemas and theatres at the curret time every individual active on digital platforms not only ott but also many more. Apart from that there are wide range and genre avalaible on online streaming platforms so people can watch from anywhere and anytime so as per my view i would likely give me opinion that online platforms is more convinience rather than cinemas and traditional theatres concept.
Firstly , online streaming plaforms is much more affordable rather than cinemas because online streaming platfroms have monthly or yearly subscirbtion plans as per consumer requirement and in very affordable price and have wide variety of seried and movies multiple options available for consumer entertainment.
People can enjoy movies and series from their homes. Examples: Netflix , Amazon prime , Hotstar . On these platforms individuals can watch multiple options for watching for immersive experience . However online streaming takes alot of battery usage of digital gadgets.
secondly , Cinemas are still important because it was already promote different cultures , tradiotional and languages and moslty in india , Indian families still recommend to go cinemas for watching movie and for entertainment purpose and for better experience like big screen and sound and visual effects create an immersive experience. Also it benefit for economic growth generate revenue through tickets sales and food and beverages . However is also provide employment opportunities.
To conclude , i recommend online streaming platforms because it more affordable and have multilple options . However cinemas offer a unique experience that cannot be completely replaced.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and give a clear preference for online streaming in the introduction and conclusion. The first body paragraph explains affordability, subscription choices and the convenience of watching at home, while the second recognises cinemas’ cultural role and their contribution to revenue and employment. These are relevant points, but some are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the claim that cinemas promote culture and languages would be stronger with a specific illustration of how they do so. Your discussion also gives more detail to the advantages of streaming than to the opposing view. Develop the cultural and economic arguments further and explain why your preferred option outweighs the benefits of cinemas.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting the views, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “secondly,” “However” and “To conclude” help readers follow the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear because several points are joined in long, loosely connected sentences, particularly in the opening and the first body paragraph. “However” also introduces a battery-use drawback without showing how it relates to the preceding benefits. Use clearer sentence boundaries and connect each supporting point explicitly to the paragraph’s main idea. More precise referencing and less reliance on formulaic transitions would make the organisation easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “streaming platforms,” “subscription plans,” “cultural,” “revenue,” and “employment opportunities,” so the reader can understand the main discussion. There are also attempts at more specific description, such as “immersive experience.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word combinations are noticeable, including “severeal,” “convinience,” “wide range and genre,” and “tickets sales.” Repetition of “platforms,” “options,” and “experience” also limits the range. These issues sometimes make the wording difficult to interpret, as in “every individual active on digital platforms.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations; choosing simpler, accurate phrasing is preferable to using a phrase whose meaning is unclear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, especially in sentences with several clauses. For example, “every individual active on digital platforms” lacks a finite verb, while “online streaming platforms is much more affordable” has a subject–verb agreement error. The conclusion also needs a verb in “because it more affordable,” and “However is also provide employment opportunities” has an unclear subject and faulty verb construction. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also uneven. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles and verb forms before combining ideas.
