conclusion
People are divided over the fact that whether cinemas and theaters are important or not. Some say that they are not essential no as most of the entertainment can be viewed online. Others say that they still play an important part economically and culturally.
Admittedly, it is true that in the age of technological advancement, cinemas and theaters are not necessary as we can easily get the entertainment we want from the internet. This saves the time of planning and cost of going to the movies as compared to actually going out and booking tickets for movies in cinemas. Moreover, it is quite efficient for people who seek entertainment and cannot find much time for going out.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The introduction identifies the two opposing views, and the first body paragraph gives relevant reasons for online entertainment, including saving time and avoiding the cost and planning involved in a cinema visit. However, the response stops before discussing the view that theatres and cinemas remain economically and culturally important, and it does not give your own opinion or a conclusion. The task therefore receives only minimal, partial treatment: the ideas presented are relevant but are not developed into a complete discussion. The response is also 124 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to address all parts. To improve, develop both sides with examples, state your position clearly, and finish with a conclusion that reflects it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic overall shape: an introduction is followed by a paragraph presenting the case for online entertainment. Linking expressions such as “Admittedly,” “Moreover,” and “as compared to” help show how the points relate. However, the progression is incomplete because the promised second view, your opinion, and a conclusion do not appear. The labels “intro,” “view 1,” “view 2 + my opinion,” and “conclusion” are planning notes rather than developed paragraphs, so they do not guide the reader through the argument. Build a separate paragraph for each main view, use clear transitions between them, and ensure the final paragraph summarises your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonably varied set of task-related expressions, including “technological advancement,” “essential,” “efficient,” and “economically and culturally.” These choices make the main point understandable and show some ability to move beyond very basic vocabulary. There are, however, awkward or imprecise phrases, such as “divided over the fact that whether” and “not necessary as we can easily get the entertainment we want from the internet.” “Theaters” is also an American spelling, whereas “theatres” is more consistent with the task’s wording and British IELTS conventions. Aim for more natural collocations and precise phrasing, and avoid repeating broad terms such as “entertainment” without specifying the type or benefit.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response includes both straightforward sentences and attempts at more complex structures. For example, “Moreover, it is quite efficient for people who seek entertainment and cannot find much time for going out” uses a relative clause, while “as most of the entertainment can be viewed online” gives a reason. Meaning is generally clear, but there are noticeable errors in sentence construction: “over the fact that whether” combines two incompatible patterns, and “not essential no as” contains an unnecessary word that disrupts the sentence. The range remains limited, with most sentences following similar patterns. Practise forming accurate clauses with “whether” or “the fact that,” not both, and check each sentence for unnecessary words and punctuation.
