Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, technology has significantly changed the way people enjoy entertainment . Some people believe that theatres and the cinemas are becoming less important beacause the films and the performances can easily be watched at the home however, other argues that these places still play an essential role in the society. This essay will disscus both views in my opinion .

On the other hand ,there are several reasons why people prefer watching films and shows at the home as compared to the watching at the theatres and the cinemas. For example, services such as youtube and the netflix are provide thousands of the films and performances at own home instead of going to the theatres and the cinemas and have low range of expense in own home.

Secondly, watching the films at on home is more good way to entertain in home and less expensive. People can choose their own choice of the films and the performances which they want to see this can not be possible in the theatres and the cinemas beacuse they charged a high amount of money as compared to watch in the home.

There are many also benefits of watching film in cinemas that their enviornment is ver clean and have a good atmosphere inside the cinemas and theatres as no in home.

In colclusion, theatres and the cinemas offers a good enviornment and show their performances in the gentle and modern this benefit is not avaiable inside the home. Therefore, cinemas and theatres are good places to entertain with joy and delightness.these are the best places to get joy and enjoyful atmosphere.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You introduce both perspectives and give a preference for cinemas and theatres in the conclusion, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion is uneven: the case for online entertainment is repeated through convenience, choice and lower cost, while the economic and cultural importance of theatres and cinemas is not really explained. The sentence about a “good atmosphere” is relevant but does not develop either of those specific arguments. Your opinion is also clearest only at the end, rather than being stated and supported throughout. To strengthen the response, explain how cinemas contribute economically or preserve shared cultural experiences, and support each main point with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “On the other hand” and “Secondly” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the first body section repeats the same points about watching at home, and the paragraph beginning “There are many also benefits” shifts to cinemas without clearly developing the contrast. Some linking phrases are inaccurate or do not express the relationship between ideas clearly. The conclusion repeats the atmosphere point rather than drawing together the two views. Organise the essay into one paragraph for online entertainment and one for the continuing value of venues, with each paragraph built around a distinct reason and example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “entertainment,” “performances,” “services” and “atmosphere,” and the reader can generally identify the subject of each point. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, especially “theatres and the cinemas” and “at home.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “disscus,” “enviornment,” “delightness” and “enjoyful atmosphere,” which make parts of the response less natural and occasionally harder to understand. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and a wider range of terms, such as “streaming platforms,” “live performances” and “shared cultural experience.” Check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example with “because” and “which,” but the range of sentence structures is limited and these attempts are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “other argues” and “services … are provide”; sentence boundaries are also unclear in “at the home however, other argues.” Articles and prepositions are frequently inaccurate, as in “at own home” and “watching at on home,” and some sentences lack clear punctuation. These errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause, and check subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation.
