Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people believe that in the modern era, people can watch all the entertainment through online platforms and there is no need to visit cinemas and theatres. While, others believe that theatres and cinemas are very significant for both economical and cultural perspectives. I personally believe that the online consumption of theatres or cinemas is far better than visiting the theatres or cinemas. This essay will be explaining both of these aspects and the first aspect will be supported.
According to first perspective, people believe that in digital era the online usage of cinemas or theatres is better approach. This is because it will provide the convenience and comfort to people. People can watch movies or shows online in home specially with family. Moreover, currently several online cinema platforms are almost free of cost, people will also be getting financial benefits. As a result, due to online advantages cinemas are no longer important in this digitalized era. As a matter of fact, I would support this view because of financial perks and comfort.
On the other hand, some people argued that theatres and cinemas are currently significant for both economical and cultural advantages. People is supporting this view because many local people are earning from cinemas and theatres so, there livelihood will be affected negatively. Furthermore, the another reason is the traditional and cultural values of theatres. If people will avoid to visit cinemas so, new generation will not get knowledge about old cinemas way of execution. Therefore, cultural and traditional values of theatres and cinemas will be compromised. However, I personally believe that circumstances must be change according to time and people should adopt new technological benefits. So, online consumption of entertainment is more prefarable.
In conclusion, both views have their own reasons. In my opinion, In this modern world online consumption of entertainment is a better way than to visit cinemas because of conveniences and financial advantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear preference for online entertainment in the introduction and conclusion. The convenience and lower cost of streaming are relevant reasons, while the point that cinema employment and cultural traditions may be affected shows awareness of the opposing view. However, these ideas are not developed equally: the benefits of online viewing are repeated, while the economic and cultural claims would benefit from specific explanation or an example. The phrase “new generation will not get knowledge about old cinemas way of execution” is also unclear, so the cultural argument is difficult to assess. To strengthen the response, explain how these effects occur and support each side with a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the other hand” helps readers follow the change in perspective, and your opinion remains consistent. However, some linking is mechanical or awkward, including “According to first perspective” and “As a result,” where the relationship between the claims is not fully clear. The final sentence of the second body paragraph shifts back to your opinion without smoothly connecting it to the cultural argument. Use clearer topic sentences and vary transitions; also make references explicit, for example, clarify what “this view” refers to and how the supporting reason leads to the conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “online platforms,” “financial benefits,” “cultural values,” and “technological benefits,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “economical and cultural perspectives,” but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural: “online consumption of theatres or cinemas,” “almost free of cost,” and “old cinemas way of execution.” Spelling errors such as “prefarable” and “livelihood” used where the plural is needed also reduce precision. Build a more natural range of collocations for this topic, such as “streaming services,” “ticket revenue,” and “live performance,” and check word forms and spelling. This would make your arguments clearer and less repetitive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If people will avoid to visit cinemas…” and a reason clause beginning “This is because…”. Meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include “While, others believe,” where the opening clause is incomplete, “People is supporting,” which has subject–verb disagreement, and “the another reason,” which uses an incorrect article pattern. The conditional sentence also needs a more suitable verb form, and “circumstances must be change” has an incorrect passive construction. Practise accurate clause openings, agreement, articles, and modal/passive forms. Greater control of these patterns, alongside your existing sentence variety, would make the response more fluent and precise.
