Student answer (Band 5.0)

People have different views about theatres and cinemas or watch entertainment online is better aproach. While both prespective have their own merits. I believe that watch entertainment on theatres and cinemas provide you the experience and I like to watch plays in theatres and watching a movie in cinemas.

On one hand some people like to go theatres and cinemas because they want experience and environment and they get that satisfaction from this, by go there and put some extra affords and interact with new people who are also there because people like to meet other how have the same interest like you. These are some main factor of people how like to go on these places to watch entertainment

On the other hand people believe that in the digital age where all the thing are more accessible than whyyou want to put afford and give the extra time to travel is not practical. The main reason is the economical and time saving factor is on the top. These are some main factor why people started shifting to this is because it is more convinent.

In conclusion, although some people like to go theatres and cinemas and like to watch entertainment online in their houses. In my point of view experience is more important because it build your memories and when you grow old you have only memories with that you enjoy again and again by have a thought about and remember activity that you do there.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both sides of the discussion and state a preference for attending theatres and cinemas, so the response is relevant to the task. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening sentence is difficult to interpret, and the conclusion contrasts in-person entertainment with online viewing without clearly restating the two views. The reasons are also limited and under-developed. For example, you mention the experience, meeting people with similar interests, and saving time and money, but do not explain these points in detail or give a specific example. The response is also three words below the required minimum. To strengthen the answer, explain each side more fully and support your opinion with a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “On one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These divisions help the reader identify the two perspectives. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several ideas are repeated rather than developed—for instance, the first body paragraph repeats that people go to these places for the experience and satisfaction. Some linking is awkward or unclear, particularly “although some people like to go theatres and cinemas and like to watch entertainment online,” which makes the conclusion’s contrast difficult to follow. Build each paragraph around one main point, explain it in a logical sequence, and use clearer references and transitions between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “digital age,” “accessible,” “economical,” “time saving,” and “memories.” This gives you a basic range for discussing convenience and the social or personal value of attending venues. However, vocabulary is often repetitive, especially “people,” “like,” “main factor,” and “experience,” and several word choices or spellings are inaccurate, such as “aproach,” “prespective,” “affords,” and “convinent.” Phrases such as “put some extra affords” and “meet other” are also unclear or unnatural. Aim to use more precise topic language and check spelling and collocations; for example, describe the “live atmosphere” or “shared experience” rather than repeating “experience.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use basic structures to compare the two views, including “On one hand” and “On the other hand.” However, sentence structures are limited, and attempts to combine ideas often produce errors that make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “People have different views about theatres and cinemas or watch entertainment online is better” does not form a clear grammatical comparison, while “by go there” and “it build your memories” show problems with verb forms and agreement. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “go theatres” and the long final sentence. Practise writing clear subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, verb forms, and punctuation.
