Student answer (Band 5.0)

In todays era, young people prefer to watch all the entertainment on online platform rather than going to theatres or cinemas. the views and opinion are disccused further.

one of the main reason of watching the movies on phones or laptop is the convenice. individual can watch at anytime at anyplace whenever gets a free time in their busy schedule. The another contributing factor is its safe your time. As people dont have to tavel the theatres and standing in a que to book the tickets of their show. For instance plethora of digital age prefer to stay home in weekend and watch their show on digital screen in their comfort room.

However, the opposite persceptive of people visitng the theatres as a one day pinicwith their family and friends. They enjoy spending time with their loved ones and watch a move while having some popcorn to eat. Moreover, when people choose the public theatres it uplift the economic of that particular state and maintain the traditional method of it .

Exracting the gist, from the above paragraphs in my opinion it is based on an indiviual choice to select whether to watch movie in their comfort zone or spend a day outside with frineds by watching movie

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both perspectives: convenience and time-saving are given as reasons to watch online, while family outings and economic benefits support the case for theatres. You also state that the choice depends on the individual. However, the discussion is only partial and the ideas remain under-developed. For example, the economic point—“it uplift the economic of that particular state”—is not explained, and the cultural importance of theatres and cinemas is barely addressed. Your opening refers mainly to young people, although the prompt asks about people more generally. The response is also 43 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop examples and explain your position. Expand both sides and make your own view more definite.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph about online viewing, a contrasting paragraph about theatres, and a concluding opinion. Linking expressions such as “However” and “Moreover” help signal the shift between ideas. Some cohesion is mechanical or unclear, though. “The views and opinion are discussed further” does not introduce a specific position, while “Extracting the gist” is an awkward way to begin the conclusion. The sentence about theatres as “a one day picnic” is not clearly connected to the economic point that follows. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the claim it supports; this would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “convenience,” “digital age,” “public theatres,” and “traditional method.” However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “persceptive,” “Exracting,” and “plethora of digital age.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “safe your time” and “uplift the economic” do not express the intended ideas clearly. Aim to use accurate topic-specific collocations, such as “save time,” “boost the local economy,” and “cultural significance.” Proofreading spelling and choosing familiar, precise expressions will improve clarity more than attempting complex vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a reason introduced by “As” and a sentence beginning “However.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence formation and basic grammar are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “one of the main reason … is the convenice” has a singular/plural agreement problem, and “individual can watch at anytime” is missing an article. “The another contributing factor is its safe your time” combines an incorrect determiner with a faulty verb pattern. The final sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking articles, agreement, and punctuation.
