Student answer (Band 5.0)

There are different opinions about the theaters and cinemas in the digital age like, some people say that it is not important in this computer age seeing people want to enertain thier-self online like watching movies on mobile phones, laptops and other appliances.while, others argue that theater and cinema are more essential for all class of people socially and cheaply. I largely agree that people can watch moives individually is more relaxable instead of cinema.

Those people who want that entertainment is still in cinema and theater more than online watching movies on phones and computers they are socializing people. The theatres films are very enjoyable and entertaining when you watching it with your friends.the visual is clear on a big screen of cinema. It is cost saving and inexpensive. Most importantly, social equality is remained the same in cinemas. For instantly, high class and middle class cand afford the fee of ticket which is beneficial for all of us and one more thing the food is also availabe in theatres like popcorns and juices.

in contrast, those people who want to watch movies and series on mobile phones online. It is relaxed and calm for them especially for youngsters who want to refreshing alone rather than friends. however, it is economically cost effective and also culturally. In this digital networking the young people will choose the online entertainment. This can afford only high profile people which does not want to interrupt anyone of there enjoyement. For example, celebrities, politics, buisnessman.

In conclusion, both arguments can be beneficial, depending on the person who want to watch movies in cinemas and those who want to watch it on thier own phones and laptops. from my perspectives, online watching movies is more realxed and calm that is why you can understand the film.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You introduce both views and give a personal preference for online viewing, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partly developed, which is why the position and supporting ideas are not consistently clear. The cinema paragraph mentions socialising, a large screen, ticket affordability and food, but these points are listed rather than explained. The online paragraph says viewing alone is relaxing and cost-effective, yet the claim that it is “also culturally” is not clarified, and the examples of celebrities, politicians and businesspeople do not clearly support the point. Make your opinion explicit in the introduction and conclusion, then explain and illustrate the strongest reason for each view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “In contrast” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the shift between positions. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: several points about cinemas are added in a list, while the online paragraph moves from relaxation to economics, culture and high-profile viewers without clear links. Some transitions are awkward or incorrectly placed, and inconsistent capitalisation at paragraph openings also interrupts the flow. Group related ideas and use each paragraph to develop one main point with an explanation or example. Clearer references to what “it” and “this” mean would also improve cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “digital age,” “social equality,” “economically cost effective” and “entertainment,” and you use some topic-specific terms such as “big screen” and “ticket.” However, the range is limited and inaccurate word choice or spelling sometimes makes meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “relaxable,” “socializing people,” “high profile people” and “interrupt anyone of there enjoyement”; several expressions do not convey the intended idea naturally. Spelling errors such as “enertain,” “moives” and “buisnessman” also reduce clarity. Build a bank of accurate collocations for comparing online and in-person entertainment, and check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a relative clause in “youngsters who want to refreshing alone” and a contrast introduced by “while.” However, sentence structures are limited overall, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to understand. For example, “when you watching it” needs a finite verb form, and “theater and cinema are more essential” has an agreement problem. The opening sentence also joins several ideas without clear punctuation, while some sentences begin with lowercase letters after full stops. Practise building accurate complex sentences with clauses such as “because” and “although,” and proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
