Student answer (Band 5.0)

In recent years, many people have lose interest in cinema and theatres as it is more convinent to watch movies through television or digital technology. Many individuals believe cinemas have reduced their significance over the time. However, other says cinemas and theater play crucial part economically and culturally.

Cinamas and theatres are main source of entertainment. First and for most reason is afforadability. This is because cinemas can provide the facilities in low cost because larger number of individuals are there as due to large quantity the cost spread evenly and become economically viable. Furthermore, in present time the cinemas are not only the source of movies as now the cinemas and theatrs are the moments of gatherings and outtings. This lead to spend an quality time with family and friends. consequently, this results in increasing bond of each other. For example families will low income can spend there quality time.

However, Due to technological advancement the cinema culture have decreased. Now portable cinma setups can be arranged at the accumundation where pople live as they are cheaply avaliable and it require small corner of the home. Families can spend quality time with privacy at their live in place at their comfort zone. Additionally, now each and every movie is available digitally free of cost. Interested once can watch evry movie free of cost. In many regions certain types of movies aren't played on cinemas so people can also watch those types of movies. For instance japnies anamais are played on theatres so people can watch those digitally.

In my opinion, i disagree with the point that cinemas are no longer important for entertainent. Cinema can provide the experience which is not possible at home place.

To conclude, cinama culture can get a bit slow but it has it significance as it is affordable and strenthen the bonds between people. however due to convience and to watch anything according to mood the

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present a relevant opinion—that cinemas remain important—and give reasons on both sides, including affordability, social gatherings, home viewing and access to films not shown locally. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The economic and cultural importance named in the prompt is not clearly explained: affordability and family bonding are mentioned, but there is little about employment, revenue, artistic traditions or shared cultural experiences. The opposing view is also asserted rather than explored, and the example about Japanese animation is unclear. Your position is clearest in “I disagree,” but the conclusion is unfinished, so it does not fully summarise your view or the comparison. Develop each side with a specific, clearly explained example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, an opinion and a concluding attempt. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and links are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “First and for most reason is affordability” is followed by a difficult explanation of how costs are shared, while “This lead to spend an quality time” does not clearly connect the point to its result. The final sentence stops at “the,” leaving the conclusion incomplete. Use topic sentences that directly identify each view, connect each supporting detail explicitly to that view, and ensure the ending completes the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “digital technology,” “technological advancement,” “portable cinema setups” and “privacy,” which helps communicate the main topic. However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “convinient,” “afforadability,” “accumundation” and “strenthen”; phrases such as “cinema culture” and “at their live in place” are also imprecise or unnatural. Repetition of “quality time,” “free of cost” and “cinemas” limits flexibility. Build a more accurate set of expressions for discussing cultural and economic value, and check spelling and collocations carefully so your ideas are easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including explanations with “because” and a contrast introduced by “However.” Nevertheless, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to interpret. For example, “many people have lose interest” has an incorrect verb form, while “the cinema culture have decreased” has faulty subject–verb agreement. Articles and sentence patterns are also problematic in “play crucial part” and “This lead to spend an quality time.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then build longer sentences with one clear main clause and a correctly formed subordinate clause.
