Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argue that in this tech era theathers and movie houses are no longer essential as people can entertain themselves by watching everything online. On the other hand many people believe that theaters and cinemas are still essential for economic and for cultural wellbeing of a country.I completly with the importance of movie houses and theaters as they give benifits to country and their people.Because it provides a lot of people activity and increase the economy of a country.
This is because the cinemas and theathers are vital platforms to enocurage people enagging themselves in enternainment for better wellbeing and investing at right place. This will leads to the better mental wellbeing and bring a lot of people together. In other words when a lot of people from different backgorunds comes into cinmea and see their culture in movies. They will ultimately felt a sense of community towards their culture and country. For example if a play is highlithing the punjabi culture it will give people a sense of belonging and it will result in incrasing the economy. Therefore it is evident that theathers and cinemas shows are much more important economically and culturaly.
Although important point to consider that when people spend time at home on their phones and entertain themselves just by a click there will be a lot of chance of distancing from people.I believe that its important to bring people to cinema for their better mental health and countrys success. And cinemas are a key for this prosprity to country. For intance if a country shows a lot of good workin cinema people will spend their money in buying tickets and the foood outside the cinemas will give a chance to take econmy on next level.
In conclusion ,I firmly believe that cinemas and theathers could be a key for a country to brings success economically and culturally. It is mainly because people will spend their money at the right place ,and they would feel a sense of community and belonging which will ulitimately decerse the crime rate.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall preference for theatres and cinemas, stating that you “completly” support their importance, and you offer relevant points about shared cultural identity, mental wellbeing and economic activity. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the case for online entertainment is only briefly mentioned: people can watch at home “just by a click,” without explaining its advantages, such as convenience or lower cost. Your supporting ideas also need clearer development. For example, the link between a Punjabi-themed play, belonging and economic growth is asserted rather than explained, and the claim that cinemas reduce crime is not supported. Develop both sides with specific reasoning and examples, and make your position explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the main focus on the value of cinemas is generally easy to identify. You also use linking expressions such as “On the other hand,” “For example” and “In conclusion.” However, progression is uneven: the first body paragraph combines mental wellbeing, cultural identity and economic benefits without clearly separating or connecting them, while the opposing view receives only a short, loosely connected discussion. Some transitions are mechanical, and references such as “this prosperity” and “this” in “This is because” do not always make the relationship between ideas clear. Organise each paragraph around one main point, explain it in sequence, and use linking phrases only where they show a precise relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “sense of community,” “cultural wellbeing” and “economic activity,” and these phrases help communicate your main concerns. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to read, including “theathers,” “enocurage,” “enternainment,” “prosperity” misspelled as “prosprity,” and “dec erse” (intended as “decrease”). Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “investing at right place,” “take economy on next level” and “people activity.” Aim for accurate topic vocabulary and natural collocations, and proofread spelling carefully. Reusing a few precise terms is more effective than attempting phrases whose meaning or form is unclear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures with clauses, for example, “Although important point to consider that when people spend time at home…” However, the range is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors include subject–verb agreement (“This will leads”), verb forms (“people… comes” and “they will ultimately felt”), and incomplete or awkward sentence structures, such as “Because it provides a lot of people activity…” Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a lot of chance” and “cinema shows.” These errors sometimes make the intended relationships harder to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a supporting clause, then check agreement, tense and sentence boundaries.
