Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both sides of the question: online viewing is presented as convenient and cheaper, while cinemas are linked to a distinctive viewing experience, cultural sharing and employment. However, the discussion is only partial and several points are unclear or insufficiently explained. For example, “Cinemas also make people economically stable” is not supported with a clear explanation of how the industry creates jobs or income. Your own opinion is not stated clearly; the unfinished conclusion, “there should be equal love and respect for”, does not tell the reader which view you support. The response is also 15 words below the required minimum. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example, and finish with a complete conclusion that directly answers the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and an attempted conclusion. The signposts “On the first hand” and “On the second hand” help identify the two sides, but the progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow. The first paragraph repeats the idea of preferring online subscriptions, while the connection between cultural value and economic benefits in the second body paragraph is not made clear. Some linking is also awkward, as in “Which many people have benefit the cost.” The conclusion is incomplete, so the essay does not reach a clear ending. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, explain it, and use clear references and transitions to connect the supporting details.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “monthly subscription,” “genre,” “culturally,” “experience,” and “profit.” This gives you enough basic language to communicate the main contrast between online entertainment and cinemas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “love subscriptions,” “portrait the movie,” and “crazy about the cinemas movie.” Spelling errors such as “threates” and “crouded” also make the writing less clear. Aim to use more precise expressions for convenience, affordability, employment and shared cultural experiences, and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated uses of “love” and “people” with more specific wording would also make the discussion more effective.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a relative clause in “people who hate crouded place” and a conditional-style idea in “when some people cannot get watch movie.” However, the range is limited, and attempts at longer sentences are often faulty, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Errors include subject–verb agreement in “Online subscriptions has change” and “people also prefers,” incorrect verb forms in “has change” and “cannot get watch,” and missing or incorrect articles and plurals in phrases such as “watch favourite movie.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, particularly the fragment beginning “Which many people…” and the lowercase start of the final paragraph. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns before adding more complex clauses.
