In this day and age, rhetoric around significance of traditional theatres and cinemas is gaining attention, due the rise of digital streaming platforms. As these platforms enable the the same entertainment content being enjoy at general audience's living rooms and at the comfort of their bed. However, the counter rhetoric is also emerging with core agrument centred around the experience that theatres and cinemas offers is unmatched to the experience of watching same content online. And I also believe that the traditional ways are still relevent as the wave of digital world have significantly damaged the physical health of people and also the new trends shows GEN Z is suprising trying to experience and connect with physical world.
Gen Z, which is supposed to be the digital generation are actually ditching the digital and virtual aspects of entertainment, in contrary they are bring back exploring the real world experience and reviving the culturally experiences. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a relevant opinion: traditional venues remain important, and you give reasons connected to social interaction and wellbeing. The discussion of digital entertainment also appears in the introduction, but it is only briefly described. The response does not adequately develop the economic and cultural importance of theatres and cinemas, nor does it explain in detail why online entertainment may make them less important. Most of the body focuses on Gen Z and digital detox, with claims about anxiety and depression that are not supported by a specific example. As a result, the task is addressed only partially and the main ideas remain under-developed. To strengthen the response, give each view a clear, balanced paragraph and support your position with relevant examples about venues’ cultural or economic roles.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is an identifiable overall structure: an introduction presents the debate and your position, followed by a paragraph about Gen Z and digital detox. Linking expressions such as “However” and “So” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the response does not progress through both sides of the question, and the second paragraph moves from digital habits to mental health without clearly explaining the connection to theatres and cinemas. The sentence beginning “As the digitalization…” is incomplete, as is “Lack of involvement in society…”, and the final statement about physical health is left undeveloped. Use complete paragraphs with one central point each, and make links between claims explicit rather than relying on short transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “digital streaming platforms,” “virtual aspects of entertainment,” “human interaction,” and “Digital Detox.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond basic terms, and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “counter rhetoric,” “the experience … offers,” and “reviving the culturally experiences.” Spelling errors, including “agrument,” “relevent,” and “suprisingly,” also reduce precision. Aim for natural, accurate phrases rather than elevated wording that does not fit the context. For example, use “counterargument” for the opposing view and “cultural experiences” when describing activities that connect people with culture.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “Gen Z, which is supposed to be the digital generation…” and a contrast introduced by “However.” However, complex structures are often incomplete or inaccurately formed. “As these platforms enable…” is a dependent clause without a main clause, and “Lack of involvement in society and human interaction…” is also a fragment. There are recurring errors in agreement and verb forms, as in “theatres and cinemas offers,” “the more people stays,” and “have started.” Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention. Practise building complete sentences around dependent clauses, and check that subjects and verbs agree before adding further detail.
